Thus actually reducing the amount of people who would actually watch the official midway continuation.

Yes, I'm sure there is some "loss" of viewers who might have started with the fansub planning to switch later, but once they started getting the fansub, end up staying with it. That would show up in the tracking they do of how their licensing affects the bootleg distribution of series, in their stream being less effective in reducing bootlegs for these particular situations.

Now, I found downloads to be a PITA, and am happy to be done with them ... and so would not likely be in that boat. But circumstances always vary, and there will be some people in a situation where downloads actually work better for them once they get into the weekly swing of tracking availability and making the download. And that is in addition to the issue of getting used to a particular subbing style.

Whenever these things happen, I'm sure that Crunchyroll has already made its pitch to get the first season, and for whatever reason the pitch failed, so it's not something they can do anything about except muddle through.

At that point, the actual choice they have is between not having both, or not having the earlier stuff and having the later stuff ... and I expect they are likely better off in the long haul if they keep on taking everything they are offered, even if sometimes it means there are these strange holes in availability.

I think might try watching the second season of Rin-ne anyway and see how it goes. But I would really like a legal way to watch the first season in the UK, if possible. I find there's lots I can see on legal services so I don't watch anime "other ways".

Yep, it's pretty pointless without the first series. Shame.

Really looking forward to the start of Big Order airing from later on today ^^

I have no doubt that it is gonna be one of the coolest animes of this whole this season by far ^^

At least in my opinion anyway seeing as it's the newest series by the same guy who brought us Mirai Nikki ^^

It will probably be delayed because of the earthquake.

There is no hard and fast finish date. For example, last season the last show was added around March 3. If you want a bigger picture of how it has panned out, I've been keeping track of the updates to the lineup page since spring 2014 in the first message of this topic:
www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-844599/crunchyroll-lineup-page-mystery-box-log

Except for one lingering "?" box in the "New Simulcast Titles" section (which was added close to mid-month), the simulcast announcements were essentially wrapped up only one week into April. Frankly, that's faster than usual.

Well look at you mister organized! haha I have to admit I get a little antsy every season so I'm sure that's why I feel like it takes longer every time. I love that you took the time to do that! Thank you!

I keep coming back here looking for the last show and hoping it puts this season "over the top" for me. I keep feeling like this season is a letdown. However the Ancient One's post clearly shows we have as many shows as any other year, more than most.

It even has one show I highly anticipated, Ushio and Tora, and one I hoped to see again, Asterix war.

I guess the lack of continuing content, and the ending of 3 shows (long breaks I think if not endings) that were on my all time favorites lists, Fairy Tale, Gintama, and Durara are what is making me personally feel this way. Ace of the diamond and Haikyu as well. Last season was very strong.

So far I don't really feel invested in this season, again probably because it was a hard break for so many shows.

Anyhow I am just hoping that last show gives me that "Your Lie in April". "Is it OK to bla bla Girls in a Dungeon"," Sword Art Online" GIVE ME THE NEXT SHOW RIGHT NOW G-D DANGIT feeling. Usho and Tora felt like that for me in the first season as well, but so far not so much this season. You can feel them winding up for a bing punch though.

I guess that is why, For me, I keep feeling the need to come back and look for more, a Lynchpin, Keystone, Show for this season.

I know this post came a bit out of nowhere but I figured the UK & Ireland folks should be aware of this.

Just recently Manga Animatsu acquired the rights to Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, one of two shows that is not available to stream at all for the UK & Ireland (the other being Sailor Moon Crystal, because Toei). Now what's interesting about this license is that they also picked up the streaming rights so in a sense we could get access to the series in legal form finally! Yeah well.. about that.. It seems that they decided not to bother giving the series a legal stream whatsoever (the deal fell through between the distributor and CR apparently). So if you wanted to see the show on here, that's not going to happen at all. It sucks I know, but this is the first time I've seen this happen from a UK distributor.

More on that here: http://forums.animeuknews.net/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=20541&start=150#p502179

But anywho I have positive news - Anime Limited have announced they will be bringing titles onto Crunchyroll for UK & Ireland. I don't know what shows/films will be available but that's something. They even have the home video rights to Bungo Stray Dogs, High School Fleet, Kiznaiver, Re:ZERO and Twin Star Exorcists from this current season if you're a fan of those. Source for this came from MCM London Comic Con May 2016 at their second panel.
