Well at least we know there is no true champion for 2015.

Can't be a true undisputed champion when you've actually already lost.

Seriously though, no more RotF please. It kinda screws with the flow of the tournament and gives unjust second winds to things that rightfully lost.

If you can't win against something that has "lost", then you probably don't deserve to win ^.^

Also, there's the concept of repechage, which is basically what RotF is.

^@bobland, I've been down the counting road before. You deserve all the kudos for that, haha.

I think there was an issue with the timing of the ROTF and it causing the main shows to lose steam. Don't mind ROTF but would like to see it abbreviated time wise next time to keep momentum for the shows that made the top alive longer. I liked the King of the Underrated a lot more as it gave some of the more hidden gems another look see.

I can't believe that people would take this tournament this seriously, any more.

Thanks for the effort by Shawn, Cay, Bob, and Swagger, though. Plus an assist from Pongo with teh sweet MS Paint graphics.

SW won by 4 (or 3 if the Shirayuki is good does not count). I knew it would win this whole thing the moment it beat JoJo lmao.

Thanks to shawn, cay, swagger, loomy, bobland, and pongo for hosting/doing counting or images for the shindig. Twas fun until it was not lol.

Nice job guys.

Overall, I think this 48-show format was alright and I don't think I saw any significant issues other than these last few rounds having disappointing results, but that's only because people have shit taste voted for underwhelming shows. Hopefully people have better taste next year. Although now that it's been brought up, RoTF really should've been shorter. 2 days sort of dragged it out and made it lose some momentum. Still not a bad job.

Also, someone should hang Pongo's art in a museum. He makes masterpieces!

Expectations = Shattered! Unless all these posters are miscounting. Similar to how Shirayuki stood her ground against up to dukes, princes and the like, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime did the same to other heavyweights (JoJo, Haikyuu, Non Non Biyori and the others). I don' think anyone could have predicted this result, especially with Shirayuki being part of the fallen. Honestly, I think this was the most exciting tournament of this year. The semifinals and final were so closely contested! While Non Non Biyori didn't win, it did pick up its second silver medal (with Renge being the runner up of the character tournament).

Also, here's Kiki, since Shirayuki is not the only awesome female character in this show:

Thank you staff for hosting the tournament! Can't wait to see how the 2016 tournament unfolds!

Once again, Congrats Akagami no Shirayuki-hime!

Thx!

Only few changes that might def be needed is removing more rounds with reasons...although quality will go down quantity should go up...

Idk the results this year feels very inaccurate, some shows would have steamrolled if there was a lack of reason and it was easier to get into. i.e. the OPM, the Food Wars and a few others, def Owari to a degree. and GATE actually I saw GATE as a final 2 the fanbase is crazy big in CR.

also with most of off topic chatting being in other threads, it might be time to say good bye to BB for quoting, but maybe keep her around as a mascot.

Also we are currently making a go fund me, a patereon, and a FB petition, 1 like 1 prayer to get Pongos art recognized in a brithish mesuem. Fingers crossed.

Best of 2015

The results are in...

Your winner...

And Best of 2015...

...

...

...

KAPPA MIKEY!

In an interesting turn of events, we received 22 write-in votes for Kappa Mikey in PMs. This was unexpected and unprecedented! The admins have come to a decision and we've decided...who are we to deny these people their choice? Thus, Kappa Mikey wins the tourney! Congratulations to our winner! I hope you all had a fun time and we'll see you again next year!

Real results will come out a bit later. Winkyface.gif

I agree, RotF ruins the flow.

And these tournies are more about survival than anything else, and that's why they're fun. They bring in a different type of polling method that's interesting. We're dealing with a small sample size here, this tourney isn't really a representation of the anime community. It gives a little insight of what's popular all around the spectrum. In the end of the day, it's just fun!

Haha this is good
