Shawn has told me I was banned.

I have no idea if he is joking or not.

I was informed my vote was counted, last round, though, so he probably is.

But maybe he isn't.

6 - Food Wars - This is probably the series I'm most surprised I like as much as I did. It's hands down the best cooking series I've seen. The cast was diverse, Souma is a likable protagonist whose smugness was always entertaining, but he wasn't above learning from his mistakes. This is probably what I loved most about the series, underneath the glorious animation, over that top reactions, and bombastic soundtrack is an important message that often gets lost in the whole shounen hubub. While Naruto and Fairy Tail tell you to believe in yourself, Food Wars tells you how to pick yourself up and learn from your failings when believing isn't quite enough to get the gold. The main protagonist, Souma, and the deuteragonist, Megumi, both demonstrate a host of important life skills, balancing confidence and humility, losing with grace, and learning from your defeats. Even if you don't look too deep though the series on a surface level is very, very, entertaining.
5 - RWBY III - Never seen.
4 - Mr. Osomatsu - Never seen.
3 - Yuri Kuma Arashi - overrated, and overly convoluted, that relied heavily upon repetition to the nth degree, while failing to actually be entertaining.
2 - Eden of Grisaia - Never seen.
1 - GATE - How can a show that looks so clean, and is animated so well be rated so low. Beyond those two categories the show failed to impress me in any other regard. The character designs were either fetish bait or GI Joe Generic, the "plot" was just an incoherent propaganda rag preaching the gospel of military diplomacy. This show got so high off it's own propaganda it took to inserting entire characters who's sole purpose to fawn over the "glorious military industrial complex". The only redeeming aspect of this show was Leleí, the ever inquisitive mage's apprentice.

Group D

6 - The Rolling Girls - My final thoughts on the show here! Hint: It was in my top 2 of last year.
5 - Durarara!! - I honestly had to check if this was the same studio that did the previous season, because this season saw across the board improvements in the sound, art and animation departments. The new character designs were awesome and I'm glad that they have finally settled into the series. Aesthetics weren't the only thing the series had going for it, for a fan of Vorona (sp?) and Izaya this season was a pure treat. While there were a few episodes here and there that seemed utterly pointless like the entire episode devoted to the fighting between Bro-con and Super Stalker. The series was cap-ended with two really great developments, but unfortunately that made the series all the more frustrating, in too many ways it felt like the middle. Which of course it is, but I feel they should've done better in highlighting certain plots that would actually conclude in this arc to give it it's own identity rather that just shotgunning around in the seemingly random fashion of season's past. If the series weren't split cour, it may have been more forgivable, but seeing as this season is it's own entity you kind of have to look at it on it's own.
4 - Yuru Yuri Season 3 - Still not the king of CGDCT as many would suggest, but always a solid and consistently funny show that boasts an array of varying humor from puns to manzai. Worth a good chuckle especially given it's time slot.
3 - Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches - I really loved the relationship between Yamada and Shiraishi, but that's about it. The show was totally average until things between them started to get serious, but then that was immediately followed by the standard nonsense that keeps pulling them apart. The biggest problem with this show is, by and large, the pacing. It was way way too fast, so much so that is often diminished the presence of the other girls, and most of the cast ended up just feeling shallow to me.
2 - Haikyuu! Season 2 - Never seen.
1 - Prison School - Never seen.

same as last time most of these reasons are just excerpts from my blog

Food Wars (6) - Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! One of my favorite show that aired for the year and instantly became my favorite manga to read. This show brought one of the best feel good, be confident, and never accept failure vibe and well..... it was great.... like really great. The main character, Yukihira Souma, is one of my favorite characters of the year. A character that is extremely passionate about cooking and his friends. Watching his character from episode 1 to now and coming to the understanding of what Culinary School is about.... was great. Memories. Thats right. School isn't all about studying and honing your skills. It's about getting friends. Making memories that will stick. Enjoying yourself to the fullest and learning from past mistakes, which every character in here does. This is farther strengthened by my favorite ending of the year. Souma sitting in the middle of the table surrounded with all his friends. Megumi clapping non-stop. Everyone else doing there crazy stunts. It brings a smile every time. Mainly because, that is how food is better and exciting... with friends and people. Then, we have Tadokoro Megumi. Down to earth, a very kind character. She gets nervous in the spotlight and may struggle for a bit when the pressure is on, but she will push through and deal with results later. The evolution of her character tied with the end of episode twenty two. That was one of my favorite parts of the year. It was really touching to a point I was tearing up and cheering along with the crowd.

Gate (3) - This was alright. It was pretty entertaining, but it had pretty big faults.

Eden of Grisaia (2) - didn't watch

Yuri Kuma Arashi (4) - Mixed opinions on this. It was good, but it also wasn't in some aspects. Which is quite surprising, since I am into these type of shows. Everything was there.... the symbolism and stuff, but even with that... well. it was still stale and boring at parts for me

RWBY III (5) - A fantastic show. It was amazing watching how everything changed from what I watched in Season 1. I was on the edge of my seat quite a bit. Really looking forward to the next volume.

Mr. Osomatsu (1) - didn't watch

Group D

Haikyuu (1) - didnt watch

Durarara! (3) - There was a time I was a huge Drrrrr! fan. However, this season.. imo.. was horrible. By the halfway point, I just couldn't continue anymore. There were some lazy animation going on and the plot just never got interesting for me. Who knows, I could possibly be burnt out on the series in general.

Prison School (2) - didnt get the time to watch yet either

The Rolling Girls (4) At the halfway point, it has some nice scenes and really good aesthetics, but at times I was indeed bored.

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches (5) - Mixed thoughts on this as well, but for this group I have to give it a 5. The pacing was pretty bad. If you are want to invest in this show (and I hate to be this person), just read the manga in CR. There are positives with Shiraishi and the MC, but the rest of the characters just fell to nothingness lol.

Yuru Yuri (6) - The humor in this show is golden. This is due to the fact. The humor comes from each character and the interactions between them. If your familiar with the series, but worried with a new Studio behind it. Fear not! Even with a new studio, this show still delivers the epic comedy. All the characters are the same, but it seems they may have got a little more dynamic this season. The yuri elements increased a lot this season. In fact, the shippings are quite real and even more apparent. In previous seasons, Chitose was the major component for the yuri. This is not exactly the case anymore. We get events that actually happen and fortify these relationships quite a bit. I may have had a nosebleed myself. The one main thing I like about this series is the characters. Lets take Akari and put her on the spotlight. She is legit everything the "main character" should not be doing. Screen time is serious business, yet when she is off the screen you will sometimes forget she existed. Tough times to be a main character in YuruYuri. That and I feel the new studio did an excellent job with her aesthetics and facial expressions. In fact, the aesthetics in general throughout the show were good. While it wasn't the best, it did in fact match the very nature of the show. Then, there is Kyouko. Perhaps, the funniest character of 2015. Oh lord, everytime she is on screen. If she doesn't put a smile on your face, something is most def wrong. She is downright hilarious. If you like slice of life moments with subtle yuri mixed in, this has been one of the best shows in the genre.

6. The Rolling Girls: This was definitely my second-best show of 2015. Watching weekly the road trip episodes did drag for me, but when I got back to it I thought the ending was great and the art/animation was never not extraordinary. And those last few episodes really did stand out to me, I'm not used to endings that leave me feeling that fulfilled.

5. Prison School: Haven't finished this but I'll give it credit for being bonkers and having a great production.
4. Yuru Yuri Season 3: I badly needed a comfort show last fall and this was it. Much appreciated.
3. Haikyuu! Season 2: I really lost steam with this in the second half. Had to check if I'd even finished it.
2. Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches: Haven't seen, but I assume it's decent from the manga.
1. Durarara!!: I was extremely disappointed by the two cours in 2015 and haven't finished the third.

Oh screw you, both groups have 5 shows that I nominated. Meaning bare minimum I am guaranteed to lose two of my nominations.
