So the new manga I'm currently into is Grand Blue. Author: Inoue Kenji. Artist: Yoshioka Kimitake. So far two chapters are translated and I laugh so much reading to first two. I'm glad I discovery it.

Here's my top 5:

One Piece:
the ultimate action-adventure series for me. What I love most about it is the world building and how the mangaka, Eichiiro Oda, takes a small idea and makes the most out of it. For example, Luffy, the main character, has rubber powers. That's the kind of powers you would give to a henchmen, but somehow became one of the most awesomely iconic powers there will ever be in a shonen series

Blade of the Immortal:
game-of-thrones tier characterization. Every character is 3 dimensional. There is no clear "bad guy" ( well maybe except for Shira), because no matter how much you hate a character, they always have a redeeming quality. Conflicts are more than just good versus evil, but rather a clash of ideology. I actually ended up rooting for the main antagonist at the end

Slam Dunk:
my most beloved sports series. My favorite things about it are the genuine characters and how well it captures the emotions of being part of a sports team. It goes to show that you don't need superpowers, shitty ass-pulls, or cheesy, melodramatic moments to tell a good underdog story. And moreover, it's hilarious!!

Berserk:
because it's berserk

20th Century Boys:
a heartfelt story about adulthood and world domination by Naoki Urasawa. Again, great characters plus an amazing plot. I was constantly at the edge of my seat. The amount of twists in this will put M. Night Shyamalan to shame

honorable mentions: Gantz, Prison School, Lone Wolf and Cub, Psyren, Solanin, One-Punch Man

here's my top 5 favorite mangas:

1.Fullmetal alchemist (The best manga ive ever read, story, characters, drawing, everything is perfect in it)

2.Yotsuba & ! (The first manga ive ever read, its a nice slice of life with fun characters)

3. Berserk (Because of obvious reason, i would call it the perfect manga if it wasnt for:

4. Akame Ga kill (Now this is a completly subjective choice, because in all honesty, this manga as so much flaws (Cliché Plot, Stereotypical characters, and boring Main character himself), but for me, it has every ingredient to entertain me (Cool action, cool characters (Thought Stereotype) and a good (but cliché) Story to fallow) and makes me love it)

5. One Piece (The best long running shonen of all. I would have loved to put Hunter x Hunter, but those damn Hiatus just makes it fall behind one piece)

Honorable mentions goes to: Hunter X Hunter, Samourai Deeper Kyo, Death Note, Great Teacher Onizuka, Hellsing, Monster, My hero Academia and Noragami

Right now my favorite would be, "A Silent Voice." I love it when the bully get's what they deserve but then the bully and victim eventually fall in love and it's just wonderful.
