The app crashes when my wallpaper changes.
- I have over 70 wallpapers in a 5 minutes rotation.

CR should look this up and try some QA on it. For now the Android app and the website works better than the Windows 10 app.

New windows 10 app is very nice! Works great on my phones and tablet. It is much better than the windows 10 funimation app, which I think is mostly a browser.

Anyway, please consider more settings, such as ability to set preferred resolution. Otherwise, this app is very compete. Thanks!

Also, thanks for supporting Cortana and Phone.

This new app FINALLY solved our lag issue where episodes would go into low quality every 5 minutes. We haven't watched a ton of anime with it yet, but so far so good, so hoping it keeps up.

Sucks we have to use the PC (and drag the window onto the TV as a second monitor and set up the sound) so having the lag issues fixed on the PS4 is still something that needs to be worked on, but at least we have something for now.

The app is nice for what it does, I guess.
It gets me to the shows nice and quickly and I can live with hardcoded subs (only really an issue with Ace Attorney for now) and the lack of comments.

What irks me is the lack of pause-on-click or pause-on-spacebar.

What completely breaks the app for me is the low resolution.
For whatever reason the app seems to stream in 480p with no way to adjust this upwards.
Every time I try to watch something through the app I stop after a few seconds and fire up my browser to watch the episode in 1080p - that kind of defeats the purpose of the app on my desktop PC at least.
Please consider letting us select our preferred stream resolution through the settings in addition to the broken autodetection the app uses now.

If you leave the app open it doesn't seem to refresh, at least I saw this for example in the "Updated Episodes" section. I can't get it to update unless I close the app and re-open it.

Perhaps an auto-refresh or refresh option should be added to fix?

This is handy but it needs the following improvements

1. Video lag issue
2. We need the same options as in the web base player with SD, 480p, 720p and 1080p

Thank you for developing a great app

Love it - just needs a Google cast button and would be perfect!

That's an Android function. Windows uses Continuum. You only need a Miracast receiver to stream the app wirelessly to a TV set (if it doesn't have one built-in).

Thanks for the clarification and taking that time to respond! Pretty much all I use is Android (Apple/Windows device noob!) and I cast a lot from my phone, and occasionally Chrome browser since I mainly use Firefox.

I'll still use this new app for watching on my laptop - though probably more so when comments and ratings are incorporated so I don't have to keep going back and forward between app and website.

Why does windows even need an app when a universal app program exists that allows people to use TONS of apps without downloading anything extra?

I don't get it. Why are you complaining about Windows specifically, when your argument applies to pretty much every platform, from Android to Fire TV, Roku, Wii U, PS Vita, etc.?

I've installed it in my HTPC, and I do like it a lot but some improvements are in order.

- I can't select video quality, while I have no qualms with the current quality displayed I'd like to have this option.
- Please add a setting where the video playback starts full-screen by default. (I have the same pet peeve with the Windows Netflix app, by the way)
- Mouse cursor stays visible when playing videos. On other video apps the mouse cursor disappears after a few seconds, but not on the CR app.

Complaint:
- Subtitles; as others have also noticed, during some of the episodes I watched some of the subtitles seemed to just flash by in the screen for a fraction of a second (Too fast to read properly) and sometimes they did not appear at all.
(Episodes I watched GATE 13+14, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Diamond is Unbreakable 10, The Testament of Sister New Devil 1)

Because half of those don't have keyboards. I'd like to not have to download any apps on my android that would be preferred.

You do realize that there are Windows devices without keyboard as well, right?
Or that you can bookmark websites so you don't have to type the address all the time?
You're aware that you'll have to type anyways in order to find the app in the first place, as well as every time you're looking for a particular show, right?

I don't get your point, to be honest. Why do you even care? Nobody forces you to use these apps, or to install them in the first place.

Dude, aside from a header it's nearly identical to the Funimation app...

That said, I don't really like either. The UI is far too touch-centric for a desktop app. "Universal" is BS. Mobile and desktop are two different things and one-size-fits-all apps, or rather mobile apps dumped on the desktop, are an affront to users. I personally dislike minimalist design, give me as much info and as many options as possible right up front, please. Also, though it's Microsofts's fault I think, no Chromecast support. Technically speaking though it seems to work just fine with the exception of dropping connection if paused for a short time.
