Crunchyroll Account Linking Now Available on VRV!

Is it best to make a VRV account and link it to Crunchyroll before paying for the VRV combo package? Or does the order not matter in linking
the accounts? |

When can I link Funimation. Just let my Crunchyroll service end, and decided to get VRV. I can access all premium benefits on the regular crunchy app now right?

There isn't currently a way to link to Funimation. The Crunchyroll channel on VRV is the only one you can do that with. Yes, having a premium subscription to the Crunchyroll channel on VRV means your Crunchyroll subscription on Crunchyroll will also be premium -- as long as you link your account. (This works only for regular Premium; it does not give you Premium +. If you want Premium + then you could still link to VRV, but you wouldn't pay via VRV; you'd need to still be paying your subscription to Crunchyroll.) |

Good question (you're not the first to ask it) that hasn't been answered in the FAQ. You probably need to ask support directly for the answer: /contact It would be interesting to know if they give you a definitive answer... |

If I purchase a VRV combo membership and cancel my current Crunchyroll membership, can I still continue to watch shows on Crunchyroll.com as a Premium Member or do I only have Premium access while on VRV's site?
Crunchyroll and VRV accounts are currently linked. |

Why doesn't VRV have the full funimation catalog. What's the point in using it instead of paying for two separate subscriptions if it doesn't even have everything? And you can't link the two?

not saying that I don't have a premium account, but linking accounts sounds like more trouble then it worth, here are a steps on how to screw yourself over.
1.subscribe on CR, 2. link for vrv, 3. enjoy your doubled bill from both CR and VRV, 4. cancel CR premium afterwards to avoid double billing |

Would like to know this too. Especially since Crunchyroll.com has more than just shows. Does VRV get the manga? But if VRV really doesn't have everything from Funimation streaming catalog, then I don't see any reason to subscribe. |

I have a premium account on crunchy. If i link it to VRV, then will i be able to watch the other "channels" or will I only be able to watch crunchy there? Thanks for any feedback!

I linked my crunchyroll account to an old vrv one. I made a new one and it says that i can't have crunchyroll linked with more than one account. But I can't figure out how to unlink it from the old one. |

If feel really bad for the people who bought a yera's sub for CR
![]() There should be a way they can work with you to get in on the VRV bandwagon as there are basically the same entity or at the very least part of and I hope CR will step up and help those people out since they were loyal CR prems with year-long subs. The only thing your missing is Funimation - though thats a crappy thing to miss out Funimation is pretty good. So far, those "other" channels are, well, imho sub-par. Cheesy cartoons with mediocre voice acting (with the exception of 1 or 2 gems) - I hope with more revenue they'll bump shit up for the non anime channels. They do have a target audience (geeks and comic geeks) and im sure with time they'll get better but the content is a little boring if all your interested in is anime. Yeah and no manga. But you can get that here with the linked thingy acct. up above. My other gripe - No forums or ratings comments - I like that about CR. Get that over there in VRV!! Dann0h ![]() |
Probably binge watching anime somewhere

I don't see why you should. A 12 month subscription to both CR and Funimation costs about the same as a month-to-month sub for 12 months to VRV, and gives full access to Funimation's catalog, not just most of the dubs. As for myself, the only thing I'm missing are the other channels on VRV, which I don't have much interest in. |
Yes, that's my real age

In my experience VRV is a very inferior site right now. It needs a huge over haul. It's not very user friendly, its difficult to navigate both mobile and pc. Chrunyrolls webpage design and mobile design (at least for android) is wonderful and easy to navigate, plus having a queue and watch history, and skipping 10 seconds either direction, it didn't seem to keep track of my progress through a series. Oh did I mention it was difficult/annoying to navigate and find what I wanted? No thank you! I will continue to subscribe to both separately as I have better experiences with them separately (crunchyroll and funimation). At least until it becomes more user friendly and the bugs have been worked out. I have had more stalling, and bugs on VRV than I ever had using Crunchyroll on the website or on mobile during high traffic times.
I'll check it out again in a year or two when the bugs may have been worked out and its more user friendly, but honestly I just wish you'd just upgrade chrunchyroll and the servers to handle the traffic volume rather than trying to get us to switch to VRV many people would rather you do this than promote a new inferior product. |

For me this site is not usable as the video player will not make it past my antivirus for some reason. If i pause protection the video shows up but other then that it is a blank screen. Not sure why this is but would rather just keep watching on CR website then using a platform that hasnt' been tested enough to make it past my anti virus.
