You can add an exception to allow crunchy to use flash on chrome, this works for any other site that may need flash:
- chrome://settings/
- advanced
- content settings
- flash
- on the allow section click add then type
- [*.]crunchyroll.com
- then click on add

My only problem with Crunchy Roll in Chrome is the fact that (because I am a free user) I have to sit through ads and when those play sometimes hardware acceleration makes my computer's video features unable to load. I find it's ultimately due to my hardware being older along with my computer as a whole.

Adobe already announced Flash is dead in 3 years, I wonder what Crunchyroll will adopt.

Works for me... Use the HTML 5 player if you still have issues after updating chrome.

In your time of darkness you need a hero.

In your time of need you'll a savior.

In your time of stress you'll need release

Just sayin, CR should work with Beardfist on the "CR HLS Player" chrome extension. Or just adopt it to replace the current CR flash player (which has these annoying freeze and crash problems)

To all those who posted that their chrome is working, thanks, but for those with issues, you're just wasting their time if you have no solutions. Of course the majority of people have no problems.

I AM currently having the same problem as the OP. I've double checked that flash is installed, that crunchyroll is on the whitelist, and that flash is activated in chrome. The same with Javascript. I am still getting an error message that says that flash or javascript is not installed.

This is honestly really frustrating, and we could both use real help.

Solved the issue on my end. Had to allow flash to just activate, instead of chrome asking for permission. It just wasn't bringing up the dialog box for CR's website. Probably an issue on Chrome's end.

Works for me, that being said the video player here is still a glitchy mess and still freezing way too often.

The OP is an angry rant, not a request for advice. Although some commenters choose to give some information, that is not the purpose of this thread. The commenters you refer to had/have no intention to answer nonexistent questions.

Upgrade chrome
Upgrade flash
Click the Information icon before the www in the url bar and for flash select allow.

I was having some issues before but the last step fixed it for me, even though the default setting should work fine.
