I know you liked Sekko Boys a ton, what are some cool things you think were in it to make others check it out?

Gee, cay. I'm glad you asked! It's a clever satire of the idol group genre using cutout images of real plaster busts. There's both highbrow humor with reference to classical myths and Renaissance artists as well as lowbrow dirty and silly visual jokes. The voice acting is top notch with such perennial favorites as Tomokazu Sugita as George and Daisuke Ono as Mars. Plus, all the silliness is wrapped up in 7 minutes so the premise isn't beaten to death. Anyone who likes absurd humor should give it a try.

Aye thank you sap, can always expect the best <3 thank you for Georgioingggg, also I will start Handmaid's Tale tmwr

lol yam as much as you would like to think you are so different, you aren't, most of the shows you love have massive followings, i.e New Game.I am sure many share your sentiments and you tea cups from previous comments i have seen through other comp threads, (most wins or loses are like 3 votes away so thats just like an extra buddy or two who like what you like, for example those extra votes could be demi and harp, and there you go). you wanted the three leaves show to make it in yea? I haven't watched that myself, so i dont know much about it aside from some gifs. You should porlly at least talk about what makes it so fun to you. Might help me add it to a marathon list.

I suppose

I'll just copy and paste what I said in the 3 leaves discussion thread:

"It was a CGDCT show that had great animation, actual character development, conversations and dialog that meant something and actually got people to think a bit, and it was fun."

That's really short and simple, but that's what I got out of it.

Hmm is it along the same lines as NNB? if you seen that.

Pretty good. Though I'm particularly bummed that Danganronpa or Three Leaves, Three Colors didn't get through.

Do I start anti-voting round 1 or wait?

Do both. Vote for the shows you like and do the anti-vote to remove the ones you don't. I do it all the time.

I just know that in MOST of these contests my taste seems to run counter than most people here. I don't, for the most part, like dark and violent anime. I dislike Naruto, DB and One Piece, perhaps, because I first started watching them in crappy dubs. And being a complete and utter idiot I left Dagashi Kashi off my ballot resulting in a tie that it lost and accidentally voted for JK-Meshi when I was thinking about Danchigai. At times I wonder why I bother, but I guess I just want to root for the shows I really liked. Sorry for the self-pity party, but today has been a rough and painful day physically.

An image that always makes me smile for an apology.

I have, but not all of it. I really liked it, but got onto other shows, like Gintama. I need to finish NNB.

NNB is more chill. SS is more hijinks. But, I believe you'll like it. There is a lot of self discovery and personal growth in SS as short as it is.

A lot of people I know thought it was slow and boring though. But, I would honestly have it in my top 10 of 2016.

Well some say NNB is too slow...but i love the chill, especially when you have episodes that hit close...T.T rip Flatty-san </3 , gone but never forgotten.

But i also love my share of hijinks...hmm cant recall the name of the show...art club? been meaning to finish that since I really enjoyed the fun from the eps i have seen. Is it closer to that? But ill def give it a shot and try to watch some eps during work as i can (and also finish art club for that matter).

Oh was three leaves the show where they tried making a VN game? i think i recall that from the ep 1 when i was being shown it.

I adored This Art Club Has a Problem, but I knew it was a lost cause trying to nominate it.

Also, no. SS was about 3 very different girls becoming friends for various reasons.

Synopsis via MAL:

Synopsis:

"Futaba Odagiri is the new transfer student with a super energetic personality; Teru Hayama is the class president with a surprisingly mean personality contrary to her innocent looks; and Youko Nishikawa is from a formerly rich, now extremely poor family who still holds on to her princess attitude. These three unlikely students with clashing personalities become good friends and survive the day-to-day teenage life in a very funny story."

Always feel free to mention things you feel should be more well known, ill likely be coming back to you about SS, sounds like something i would enjoy as you said. Likely to have the lowkey heart scenes.

32 out of my 36 nominations (anime I gave a score of 7/10 or higher) made it, well 31 if you don't count Ninja Girl being graciously saved by lorreen. Preferably, I'd want a series I gave higher than an 8/10 to win, but if it means beating an A-1 Pictures or Light Novel adaptation, I'd be happy with anything else. I'm actually not all that against A-1 or LN adaptations, but 2016 just happened to be a year where I had strong negative opinions towards them.

Too bad I can already predict how this thing will turn out.

Oh well. I'l throw some monkey wrenches in as I can.

Have you both seen it? what didn't you like about it, or makes it less than appealing to you to be unworthy of making it in?

I don't hate it but, and I know it's unfair of me to say this, it feels like the equivalent of voting for a keyboard or a dancing daikon in a best character tourney. Again, I know that's probably unfair of me, as it's actually not that bad of a show.
