Sure, I technically "saved" it -- but without that save it would have been part of a three-way tie to get in, so it definitely had high popularity credentials all on its own! Part of my rationale for the save, in fact, wasn't just that I like the show a lot, but that I think shows that tie deserve to get in. I really hate seeing things lose out on account of tie breakers, even though they are a practical necessity. |

Suhkitty wrote: I'm new to this battle, please explain, I don't think I saw this mentioned in the awards format? ![]() It's not part of the format. It's more a part of one's personal choice and strategy about what one chooses to vote for. Some people will only vote for the things they actually like. Some people will also vote against shows that seem to be the greatest threat to the shows they like best, even if in a given match they don't particularly like the show they end up voting for against that other show. There are also other rationales for voting in a way that is more voting against something than for something -- in orther words, "anti-voting." At least I assume that's what Yamstarch meant. |

Pretty much this. But, I am going to attempt to be less snarky and only vote for what I DO like and just let the cards fall where they may. |
