32 out of my 36 nominations (anime I gave a score of 7/10 or higher) made it, well 31 if you don't count Ninja Girl being graciously saved by lorreen.

Ninja Girl counts. Sure, I technically "saved" it -- but without that save it would have been part of a three-way tie to get in, so it definitely had high popularity credentials all on its own! Part of my rationale for the save, in fact, wasn't just that I like the show a lot, but that I think shows that tie deserve to get in. I really hate seeing things lose out on account of tie breakers, even though they are a practical necessity.

I'm new to this battle, please explain, I don't think I saw this mentioned in the awards format?

See. I knew my tastes were varied quite differently than most of CR.

You both say that like it's a bad thing. Come on guys, diversity is what keeps the ecosystem healthy The way I see it, it doesn't matter if the shows I like don't win any prizes as long as they make enough money for the studios to keep making them. (Though it is absolutely awesome when they do win).

It's not part of the format. It's more a part of one's personal choice and strategy about what one chooses to vote for.

Some people will only vote for the things they actually like. Some people will also vote against shows that seem to be the greatest threat to the shows they like best, even if in a given match they don't particularly like the show they end up voting for against that other show. There are also other rationales for voting in a way that is more voting against something than for something -- in orther words, "anti-voting."

At least I assume that's what Yamstarch meant.

Oh I see, it's like strategic voting. Well I'll see how things go and I'll decide my strategy as the battle rages on. Thanks for clarifying that.

In my case I go out of the way to vote against shows I actively dislike. It only gets better when up against a show I like.

Pretty much this. But, I am going to attempt to be less snarky and only vote for what I DO like and just let the cards fall where they may.

So you'll know not to vote for it.

(Yes, I watched several episodes. Yes I dropped it. Yes I will not vote for it.)

Nothing about it appealed to me so I never watched it.
CGDCT is not my genre with rare exception.
