Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- 4 - A mesh of ideas all coming into one, it took a while for the idea to click but by the end it turned out to be a solid series
Drifters 3 - From the creator of Hellsing, high caliber action but with more downtime than usual.
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. 2 - short and random...its like mob but not as great
KonoSuba 1 - Actually got fond to this but within this list I wouldn't say its comedy beats saki's randomness.

Poco's Udon World 4 - Super Endearing, and the quasi father son relationship only gets better as the series goes on, with a very chill setting.
ERASED 3 - Amazing OP....great first half...but an incredibly weak finale with an unsatisfying resolution
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto 1 2 - very strong ep 1 that had me dying....but fell off over time so here we are.
The Morose Monokean 1 - I haven't seen this show yet, hopefully given a reason to check it out.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable 4 - Back into the world of jojo with cooler stands and wackier adventures
Planetarian 3 - Decent concept with a stronger than expected execution.
Assassination Classroom S2 2 not a fan of the ending at all
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2 1 i have only seen ep 1 of the second season hopefully finish it later

Natsume's Book of Friends S5 4 - Truly one of the greats amongst the youkai genre
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju 3 DEEN in amazing form
This Art Club Has a Problem 2 - very adorable from episodes i have seen
And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? 1 wish i could give this a 2 if not 3, pretty enjoyable quirky online romance. Even if she comes off a bit strong

THIS IS A VOTE

Group 1

KonoSuba (4): Comedy is amazing, characters are lovable.
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (3): Really funny show had me laughing really hard.
Drifters (2): Great action, but dogged by a plot that didn't flow in the best way possible.
Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- (1): Haven't watched.

Group 2

Erased (4): The drama is great and every episode had me on the edge of my seat.
Poco's Udon World (3): This is a nicely done slice of life that's all about self-discovery.
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto (2): The comedy is great, but the show gets repetitive.
The Morose Monokean (1): While it ended up being an enjoyable show, the beginning was really bad and the show has the tendency of having large blocks of nothingness.

Group 3

Assassination Classroom S2 (4): That ending, 'nuff said.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2 (3): The drama and action continue to be great, and it's a show worthy of being a great example of how a Gundam show is supposed to be done.
Planetarian (2): Very emotional, but there's not much going on.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable (1): Haven't watched, but I'll get to this show someday.

Group 4

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju (4): Everything is great about the show except for the first episode.
This Art Club Has a Problem (3): The comedy is great, the characters are a lovable bunch, and in all a solid show.
And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? (2): Solid comedy, but the show has the tendency of getting too repetitive and cringeworthy at times.
Natsume's Book of Friends S5 (1): Haven't watched.

Group 1

Konosuba - 4 (Some of the best voice acting in comedy anime as of late, thoroughly hilarious, the only 2016 isekai anime worth watching.)
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. - 3 (Has characters of various fun personalities that provide room for tons of hilarious situations, poor production quality especially the sound.)
Drifters - 2 (Interesting plot concept + cool characters. Lacks impact.)
Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- - 1 (High production Bones quality series that tried to do something unique but utterly failed in execution.)

Group 2

Poco's Udon World - 4 (Realistic and refreshing adult cast, expresses the themes of family exceptionally well.)
The Morose Monokean - 3 (An ok series, but it’s like 1/3 of what Natsume Yuujinchou is capable of.)
ERASED - 2 (Interesting plot concept, decent directing, fell off that last half or 1/3.)
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto - 1 (Its general concept of comedy got old.)

Group 3

Planetarian - 4 (I gave it an 8/10.)
Assassination Classroom S2 - 3 (I gave it a 7.6/10.)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable - 2 (Didn't watch because I hadn't seen previous seasons. It's high on my list though.)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2 - 1 (Didn't watch because I hadn't seen previous seasons. Still pretty low on my list.)

Group 4

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju - 4 (From beginning to end: top tier voice acting, narrative, characters, and directing. Great production quality. The only 10/10 I gave in 2016.)
Natsume's Book of Friends S5 - 3 (Lovable main characters, well constructed emotional back stories to characters, enjoyable episodes with touching conclusions, despite having the same people work on the series, production quality was a bit weaker compared to the seasons under Brain's Base. Still a 9/10 though.)
This Art Club Has a Problem - 2 (Mediocre all around. Has its moments though.)
And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? - 1 (Generic light novel otaku pandering, has some fun moments, but nothing special.)

Wow this took a long time, and I don't even know if anybody is going to bother reading all this. Whatever though, it was actually pretty fun, so it's alright.

Group Stage #1 Vote

Group 1

(4) KonoSuba- It is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while, and it is a breath of fresh air from all the other isekai/fantasy anime recently. It had an amazing cast, and basically it was just really enjoyable all the way through.

(3) Drifters- I didn't necessarily like Drifters as much as most people, probably because I thought the comedy didn't fit at all and the whole mood of it was just a little strange. There were just some awkward parts to it, but overall it was a really fun show. The main character was pretty great, the villain was interesting, and I like the political and strategical warfare throughout the show. The action and story are very entertaining, and the OP and ED were great (I don't really remember the rest of the soundtrack). I didn't enjoy it as much as KonoSuba, but it was one of my favorites of the fall season.

(2) The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.- I have seen the first 5 minute episode to this show, and that's it. It wasn't bad, from what I've heard the show is pretty good, and I have a feeling I would like it. It's honestly probably just the weird format that it has that put me off for so long.

(1) Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- I haven't seen any of the first season or this season, so I just don't know how I feel about this show. I do like superhero stuff, but I haven't exactly heard high praise about this show. I wanted to at least try some of season 1 before I had to vote in the tournament, but I just didn't have time.

Group 2

(4) Poco's Udon World- I am a really big fan of the whole parent-child dynamic in shows (Usagi Drop is one of my favorite anime ever, and no we don't talk about the manga). Poco did it really well, and created an amazing atmosphere that I just enjoyed letting myself sink into every week. It had great messages, great presentation, great characters, and I would say just about everything about the show was above average (even the shorts at the end of each episode were great). It had a nice, bittersweet ending that really fit with the themes of the show, and it was really underrated but I think everyone should watch it.

(3) ERASED- If not for the extremely lackluster ending, this show would probably be one of my favorites of this year and maybe even of all time. The first six or so episodes were absolutely spectacular, but as soon as they got the last couple, things really went downhill. Still, I think the beginning should not be overlooked, and that's why overall I like the show quite a bit. Also, the OP is great.

(2) Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto- Maybe putting it second to last makes it seem like I didn't like the show, but I actually really enjoyed it a lot. The premise of it was what sparked the interest in me. I wanted to see how Sakamoto would get past every obstacle with style. And, for the most part, they did it really well. I was hooked for most of the show, always very excited for the next episode to come out, but honestly, by the end, it did get a little old for me. Sakamoto was pretty much the whole show, and the rest of the characters all fell pretty flat, so they couldn't really hold it up for 12 episodes. That theory about Sakamoto dying though is pretty crazy, but I'm not sure if I should let that affect my opinion on the show or not (I tried not to for this).

(1) I've only seen the first episode for this, and that was like yesterday or something. I skipped past it in the summer because I wasn't really interested in yokai stuff. Since then, I've watched Natsume Yuujinchou (another one of my favorites), and my interest in that subject has grown quite a bit. I did like the first episode of this show, and I am looking forward to watching it more, but I just can't put what I've seen above anything else in this group.

Group 3

(4) Jojo's Bizzare Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable- I love JoJo's (I mean, who doesn't?), and DiU did not disappoint. I have not read any of the manga, but so far in the anime, Battle Tendency is my favorite part. However, DiU comes in at a close second, and it's still much better than many of the other shows that came out in 2016. It just has such style and charm that I can't help but love. The fights are interesting as always. The characters, while maybe not as interesting and entertaining as some in the other parts (young Joseph ), were more fleshed out and developed than in the previous generations. The soundtrack and animation were great as always, all three OP's included. Overall, it's JoJo's. Enough said.

(3) Planetarian- Maybe I shouldn't put this at three, since I haven't seen it yet, but hey from what I've heard, it's right up my alley. I'm probably gonna try to watch this whole thing tonight, so maybe I should have waited on this vote, but I didn't really want to. I've heard it's great, I have a feeling I'm going to agree, and that's that.

(2) Assassination Classroom S2- Again, I can't really judge this correctly considering I haven't seen the whole thing, but whatever. I saw the whole first season and the first five or so episodes of the second, but honestly the show is kind of boring, and I couldn't really get myself to watch any more episodes. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm not even sure exactly why I think it's boring. I just don't enjoy it as much as most people seem to. That being said, I do know a decent amount of what happens at the end, and I'm fairly certain that it would greatly increase my opinion of the show if I saw it. That's pretty much the only thing that led me to putting this above IBO.

(1) Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2- From the whole Gundam series, I've only seen the original and War in the Pocket so far. I did quite like both of those, and I have a feeling I would like this one a lot, but I just don't know. I didn't really want to watch this one until I'd seen more Gundam, and even if I tried watching it, I would have to get through a lot of episodes to see if I liked the second season in particular or not. So yeah. Basically, I just don't know about his one, so that's why it's at the bottom. Then why did I put Planetarian in second? I don't know. I just did.

Group 4

(4) Natsume's Book of Friends S5- As I said before, Natsume Yuu is one of my favorite anime in general, so it makes sense that I would have this season as one of best of 2016. It's a great series, and everybody should watch it. Yeah.

(3) Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu- While I do think this series is massively overrated from all the people who think it's underrated (It's probably just not my thing, I'm not dumb enough to think it's bad when so many critics who know a whole lot more than I do say otherwise), I do still think it is pretty decent, especially the first season. The technical stuff is all spectacular, but I don't really put a whole lot of stock in that in any show really. I'm usually a lot more focused on story, characters, and/or entertainment. As for the story of Rakugo, the first season's was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the long flashback at first as I wanted to see more of the present, but after I did see more of that I wasn't to enthused with it anyways. The only problem I really had with the first season was just that I couldn't stand the characters. So, I don't like it as much as most people, but in no way is it bad, or even average.

(2) This Art Club Has a Problem- Decent show, nothing to amazing. Average, but not in a bad way. Pretty entertaining all the way through with a style of comedy that I liked.

(1) And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online?- Now this show is also average, but not in a good way. Yet again, I guess I can't really judge it since I haven't seen most of it, but honestly, after seeing the first two episodes, I'm pretty confident in saying it is extremely generic and not something that I really want to waste my time on when I have much better things to watch. I feel like I've seen the whole show anyways after like 40 minutes. That's not to say it wasn't entertaining at all. I mean, I'm an anime fan, and I will enjoy most of the shows I watch at least a little bit. It just doesn't compare to the better shows.

'Tis a vote.

Group 1

2 KonoSuba
4 Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song-
3 Drifters
1 The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

Concrete Revolutio is a wonderful mashup of all sorts of monsters, superheroes, and legends in one show. It's an excellent scifi with it's exploration of what would happen if people with powers existed and had to interact with society.

1 And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online?

Rakugo is an excellent period drama that explores the interactions between practitioners of various traditional Japanese arts and how they react to those arts becoming less popular as Japan modernizes. I rarely watch dramas, but this was my favorite show of the year.
