No colors this time :T

Group 1

4- KONOSUBA - Exploding masochist goddesses in another world
3- Drifters - Historic figures in another world fighting for the holy grail
2- Saiki K - Haven't watched but heard good things about it and the MC is out of this world
1- Concrete Revolutio- Haven't watched but I think there are different worlds so yeah you get the jist of it

Group 2

4- Poco's Udon World - Heartwarming SoL that tackles the issues of family, and the struggle of contemplating life choices and how they affect ones happiness.
3- ERASED - While the finale was very lackluster and predictable, the journey to get to that point was really great.
2 - The Morose Mononokean - Simple little youkai SoL anime. Kind of follows a monster of the week formula but does tackle the issues of coexistence and such.
1- Haven't You Heard? Sakamoto Desu!- Didn't find it as funny as many make it out to be, and I never had high expectations for it.

Group 3

4- Planetarian- Short but, sweet and did what it needed to do in 4? episodes I believe. Key feels man.
3- Assassination Classroom- I enjoyed it for the most part. Sensei feels man/
2- Jojo's Bizarre Adventure- Haven't watched but yeah. Unbreakable Diamonds man.
1- Mobile Suit Gundam: IBO- Still need to finish the 1st season Mecha feels man.

Group 4

4- Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu Definitely deserves the praise it gets, may start off a bit slow, but its really a compelling story that highlights the relationships between the characters and how they adapt to the ever changing world of entertainment around them.
3- This Art Club Has a Problem- Felt like this fell under a lot of people's radar. Very nice and simple comedy/SoL show.
2- And You Thought You Thought There Was Never a Girl Online- It has its moments but yeah honestly forgettable in the near future, well maybe no with that title
1- Natsume's Book of Friends- Didn't watch but hey umbrella hype.

This is a vote!

Group 1

4 - Konosuba (Loved this, was my runner-up for AotY)
3 - Drifters (Enjoyable show)
2 - Concrete Revolutio (Didn't see, but heard it was great)
1 - Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Also didn't see, heard it was good, but CR has gotten higher praise from people I know)

Group 2

4 - Poco's Udon World (Really enjoyable show, surprised the hell out of me, ended up my second favorite slice of life show last year)
3 - The Morose Mononokean (One of the most genuinely heartfelt shows from last year)
2 - Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto (Pretty funny show, though it did have some episodes that fell a bit flat to me)
1 - ERASED (This would have easily gotten the 4 in this group if it wasn't for how the show just....sucks in the last few episodes, one of the most infamous collapses in anime history)

Group 3

4 - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable (Because it has the best JoJo's villain yet, yes come at me Dio fans)
3 - Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2 (Without a doubt my favorite mecha show I've seen since I started watching anime seasonally)
2 - Assassination Classroom Season 2 (Entertaining from many aspects, as an action show, as a comedy, and as a drama with one of the most satisfying and yes legit tear-inducing finales of the year)
1 - Planetarian (Didn't see because it was a FUNi show during the Summer season, when I pretty much stopped watching shows on FUNi)

Group 4

4 - Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju (My personal pick for AotY)
3 - Natsume's Book of Friends S5 (Didn't see, but the show's pedigree pretty much speaks for itself. It is one of those shows I haven't seen, but I know is good because of how much my friends praise it)
2 - This Art Club Has a Problem (Didn't see, heard it was decent)
1 - And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? (Didn't see, and didn't want to see)

Man, that just ain't right. Group 2 and 3 in particular are going to do some damage to my nominations, whereas group 4 only has 1 freaking show I saw in it.

[Group 1]

Drifters [4] - Because the art style was super cool and the comedy intertwined with drama, dark tones and serious subject matter were really interesting. Also the OP was uber hype. And it need more points imho

KonoSuba [3] - Great comedy timing. Great faces. The odd and off animation seemed to contribute to how funny it was. Megumin is adorable as hell. Darkness is mai waifu. Just a purely enjoyable show.

Concrete Revolutio [2] - Overall I liked this show, but the animation at times got too derpy for what it was trying to convey imho. Super cool concept though. I'd rate it higher if not for the others I liked before it.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K [1] - Looked ugly af. Did not watch

[Group 2]

ERASED [4] - Even with all it's flaws it made me want to watch every week. That enough warrants 4 points.

Poco's Udon World [3] -Sweetness and Lightning part 2 with a Tanuki, cute, but not as good imho.

Morose Mononoken [2] - I like the visuals, but overall too slow and meh.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto [1] - Suckamoto wishes he could be Tanaka-kun

[Group 3]

Planetarian [4] - Needs points from me and honestly one of the best stories told in a short amount of time. Feels, sad, but good.

Gundam IBO S2 [3] - Raise your flag. Raise your weapon. Raise yours glasses to the boys of Tekkadan.

AssClass 2 [2] - It's'ok at best.

Jojo Bizarre Adventure Part 4 [1] - Haven't watched in a while, and doesn't need points from me.

[Group 4] (I REALLY hate this grouping. I want to keep all these shows in)

This Art Club Has a Problem [4] - For no other reason than a (not) guilty pleasure and it needs the points. Super cute. Super chill. Super funny. It may be simple, but it does it's job well.

And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? - Super Waifu. Lots of comedy. Great animation. So much humor. Great faces. Loveable characters. Even the MC was likeable and funny... Plus it really needs points too.

Natsme's Book of Friends[2] - I really like the Natsume series, But, I have not watched since S3. And I feel it should be "safe"

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju [1] - Honestly one of the best anime of 2016. But, I didn't get on the hype until after it was over. Also it doesn't need points from me. It will be safe.

Group 1
KONOSUBA- 4 (This was so funny and different from what I expected. Also Megumin <3)
Drifters- 3 (Cool concept and art style)
The Disastrous Life of Saiki K- 2 (Not seen this but I've heard that it's hilarious)
Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- 1 (Not seen this either but I watched the first season and it was very confusing)

Group 2
Poco's Udon World -4 (Poco was so cute! It was just a really enjoyable show)
The Morose Monokean -3 (I have a soft spot for shows with Youkai)
ERASED -2 (Alright but kind of predicable)
Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto-1 (Didn't get a chance to watch this last year because I was busy with exams, but I've heard that it's really funny)

Group 3
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable -4 (One of my favourite shows from last year. Kira was one of the best villains I've seen in a while)
Assassination Classroom S2-3 (It was the only show that I watched last year that actually made me cry. Thought it was a brilliant adaptation of the manga)
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2- 2 (Because Gundam.)
Planetarian (Didn't watch)

Group 4
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju- 4 (One of the best shows of last year. It's been a while since I've seen such endearing characters. Also the voice acting was top notch)
Natsume's Book of Friends S5-3 (Again, I have a soft spot for Youkai. More Natsume is always welcome)
This Art Club Has a Problem-2 (Not seen it, but it looks cute)
And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online?-1 (Not seen this either, but it doesn't look like it's my cup of tea)

An overly detailed vote, that I got carried away with.

Group 1
4 - KonoSuba - One of the best comedies of 2016. Even if there was a joke I didn't openly laugh at, which is 90% of jokes in comedies, when I'm watching on my own, I still at least found them highly amusing. And this show consistently kept up with the comedy, rarely slowing it down. So often you get comedies that have those really slow and/or somber moments that that just takes you out of the comedic moment. And while those can be nice in themselves, if done well, I would still rather watch a comedy show that constantly and consistently delivers on the comedy, with no other nonsense. And, of course, the cast of characters are all just so good. Perhaps not in terms of their personalities, but rather just how their all just so eccentric and quirky, and play off of each other so well.
3 - Drifters - This show delivered in terms of action. It had a very interesting premise, although not executed as well as it probably could have been. Regardless, it kept up the excitement with fights and a semi-engaging plot; it had an interesting cast of characters who were enjoyable to watch. Sure, at times the comedic elements felt a little off, but I would say what it lacked in comedy, it made up for in action.
2 - Concrete Revolutio -The Last Song- - Something I didn't watch, but recall hearing somewhat good things about.
1 - The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. - Another thing I didn't watch, but also heard somewhat good things about.

Group 2 -
4 - ERASED - So... Regardless of what one thought of the ending, I thought this was a really good anime. The incredibly obvious nature of the mystery was pretty laughable, to be perfectly honest, and while I feel like that hampered my enjoyment of it in the later episodes, I still really liked it. I would say calling above average is an understatement, whereas calling it a masterpiece is a little overboard. It sits comfortably somewhere in the middle. Despite the disappointingly and almost troll-worthy obviousness of the mystery, it was still an engaging plot. There was still a reasonable sense of danger. You were still invested in the characters and cared about what happened to them. Regardless of how one may think it turned out, it was still a very emotionally investing anime.
3 - Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto - You know... I thought this was a very fine anime. It was solid, strong and consistently funny. However, I would say that its level of funniness was just... fine. Not bad, not brilliant, but fine. I mean, I wouldn't even call it one of my favourite comedies of its season, but again, it wasn't bad. Sakamoto was an amusing character, and how everyone else reacted to him was equally as amusing, but... it was a good watch. I wouldn't bother to watch it again.
2 - The Morose Monokean - This was a pretty average show, really. And now that I'm trying to think about it, one more thing I have to call it is forgettable, as I had to go to MAL to recall if I even finished it. I apparently did, but accurately recalled how average I felt it was, as I gave it a 5/10 at the time. I had a couple of issues with it, but my main one was probably the main character. It's strange, because I would call him generic, but not so generic that it's laughable. If I'm remembering correctly, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not, he was the kind of character who could solve problems just by talking, despite having practically no powers, despite being a rookie shadowing and expert, and all just because he was the main character, with, I think, some deep hidden power. I didn't hate him, but... I mean... there was little to find interesting about him. My other issue was the "monster of the week" feel to it. I think some exorcism storylines ran into multiple episodes, but still... There wasn't much in the way of an engaging plot.
1 - Poco's Udon World - If I watched it, I have little doubt I would rate it above The Morose Monokean, but I didn't, so it unfortunately comes last.

Group 3
4 - Assassination Classroom S2 - My reason could just be that it's the only one I've watched in this group, but that would be boring. I would say this does a good job of wrapping up the story. I think I remember people saying the pacing felt off (whether it was rushed or slow, I can't remember), but unless I'm remembering it wrong, the pacing mostly felt fine. With the episodes that focused on specific characters, I think they were given enough episodes to develop, without slowing the main plot of the show down too much. There was much more emotional investment in this season than the last, the characters like the same ones we loved in the first season, yet you could tell they had grown. So, great development. The balance between the serious, the sad and the funny was pretty spot on, in my opinion, too. And hey... when your show has an androgynous assassin as its main character, how could I not love it?
3 - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable - I have still not watched Jojo's... But of the shows I haven't watched, it's hard not to rank this as the highest, considering all the good things that are said about it. One of these days...
2 - Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans S2 - I watched the first season and liked it. I just never got around to watching the second season. That may be partly down to just how I prefer to watch more lighthearted shows.
1 - Planetarian - Didn't watch it. I know very little about it. I can't really say anything good or bad about it, even about recommendations.

Group 4
4 - And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online? - Ladies and gentlemen... Ako Tamaki. Now, rarely does one character just make an entire anime for me, and I kind of don't want to say it here, either, as that would imply I didn't like any of the other characters. I did, but still. I've seen shows where a single character just broke it for me, but Ako is the reverse. She just makes this anime so much more enjoyable. Yeah, she's delusional. Yeah, she's just a little bit not right in the head. But when you add in her perversion, grouping that with her other traits make for a top tier girl. And you know, I hate that I'm just talking about Ako, and making it sound like I just care bout them anime waifus, but on recalling this anime, she's without a doubt my favourite thing about it. I'll still move on, though. The comedy was alright. Definitely above average. All the main characters were enjoyable, and the light atmosphere made for a pleasant watch. It was definitely one of my top shows for that season.
3 - This Art Club Has a Problem - This was another enjoyable comedy series. Some great characters, funny moments, and just overall really enjoyable. The only thing is that it didn't really stand out. It was a great show that I enjoyed almost as much as And You Never Thought There was a Girl Online?, but it felt like it would just blend into the ever increasing pool of anime, to rarely ever be talked about again, unfortunately. But still... great show.
2 - Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju - I didn't watch it. I remember hearing good things about it.
1 - Natsume's Book of Friends S5 - I didn't watch this either. I know of it, but never really heard anything about it, so...
