JUST FIGURED OUT THE FIX! I was watching something on PS4 and I turned it off without stopping the video or closing the application. I tried switching over to the Sony TV App and it said “No internet connection” so I tried on my phone and got an error message on there too. I tried on my PS4 again to test it and I got the same thing. I started thinking maybe it was the wifi so I turned it off and phone app worked! I closed the app, turned the wifi back on, reopened it and I got the same error again. I turned the wifi back off opened the app and logged out. Then tried again with the wifi on and it worked. Then I went to the TV settings, force closed Crunchyroll and cleared cache and data and it fixed it.

Constant no internet connection error but all other apps work fine on the Firestick. Even tried changing IP addresses and still the same. I wish there was a better anime streaming service, Crunchy Roll is ALWAYS down or having some type of issue! You would expect that a paid service would work but it seems they don't really care as long as they get your money. I have tried EVERYTHING to get this fixed and nothing work.

*Connected directly to the modem via ethernet no change & tried wifi no change...

Having issues on Fire Cube "No Internet Connection" and I've tried clearing cache, reinstalling, deleting data, etc. I have a direct Ethernet connection via cable. Amazon app store says the app was last updated in September 2018 but I've only had issues the last 2 weeks.

I don't have a VRV account, just Crunchyroll. If I install the VRV app can I just use Crunchyroll or is that app for people with full VRV accounts to all its services?

You can create a free VRV account and then link it to your CR account to allow you premium (ad-free) viewing of CR content at VRV.

Is the VRV app plagued with issues at all? I don't have a paid Crunchyroll (and won't as long as I can't reliably watch outside of my computer's browser) and I'm looking for a reliable way to watch away from my computer. Is it just the app that's a problem? I had no issues until about 2 weeks ago now I can't get through a full episode without giving up and going to my computer.

Edit: Note, I've done all the app reinstalling and restarting of devices and modem to no improvement.

Also a victim of the No internet connection error. I am watching Naruto and first problem is that the history of videos watched isn’t updating and the videos are missing from episode 260 to the next season. The app on my phone also isn’t working.
Done the usual, factory reset of the modem, clearing the cache, removing the app. But it seems the problem is with the Crunchyroll app itself.
Seeing that Crunhyroll isn’t reacting to all the problems the solution is to end my premium subscription.

Crunchyroll is more interested in politics and SJW topics then serving their paying customers.
Fix this problem Crunchyroll and communicate about solutions is required to keep your customers.
Looks as if they fired the developers over stupid reasons and no just ignore the problem with the app until it explodes or they get sued for it.

Same issue as everyone else, with my Android TV. I just started trying out Crunchyroll a few days ago, and I get "no connection" after every episode when watching through the TV app. Changing the MAC address of my router (and so forcing an IP address change) *seems* to work, but that's way too obnoxious.

I haven't had any issues so far when chromecasting from my phone, but given my phone's poor battery life, a usable TV app would still be preferable.

EDIT: The phone app and website have both been giving me connection problems tonight... Not sure if it's this same problem or not.

Hey all, I wrote the support center directly with the below. Let me know if there is other things that should be included. I also tried to include screenshots but the site said it was too large to submit at the same time. I'll be sure to share any results I get from them (if any). Thanks and I hope we all get this fixed once and for all.

Issue: While watching a series, the app force closed on itself and stated there was no internet connection. I closed the app and opened multiple other apps that use the internet and they were fine. Checking the setting on the device also confirmed no internet issues. Checking with my ISP via telephone confirmed no issues or outages in the area. Checking with my cellular provider confirmed no issues or outages in the area.

Device: Nvidia Shield TV (Model #: P2897)
OS: SHIELD Android TV SW Version 7.2.2 (30.7.130.7)
Mobile Service: T-Mobile 4G LTE
Home Internet Provider: Optimum (cable service)

I've done the following steps to resolve my issue:
*reset home router
*reset home router and wifi
*reset device
*cleared app cache
*cleared app cache and data
*uninstalled and reset device
*reinstalled app
*switched from hard line ethernet to wifi
*switched from wifi to hard line ethernet
*switched ports on router for hard line ethernet
*used Android mobile device to connect and stream to TV via Chromecast via 4G LTE (SUCCESSFUL)
*used Android mobile device to connect and stream to TV via Chromecast via wifi (FAILED)
*opened app on mobile device with wifi (failed - screenshot available)
*opened app on mobile device with 4G LTE (successful - screenshot available)

Please follow-up asap. Thank you.

note: the included images are from my mobile (not shield tv) while on wifi being unable to connect to the CR app and while on 4G LTE being able to connect.

Just following up, it's been 4 days and I haven't gotten any response from Crunchyroll's Support Team outside of the initial automated message for using the system.

I have the same issue Nvidia Shield. I believe its the android TV version of Crunchyroll because I have another device "BuzzTV" and it uses just a default mobile android version of Crunchyroll and that worked fine.

I'm also having this problem with my Android TV

I'm also using a Crunchyroll Windows App version on my PC.
This works fine, but after the "No internet connection" issue on Android TV the Windows app also stops working and throws the message "Sorry, we can't seem to connect. Please try again."

Email support got back to me regarding the issue. Nothing resolved. They said their engineers are aware of the issue and are working on it. They gave me a 30-day credit. I am still following up with my local ISP and some Nvidia contacts I have to further try and sort this out.
