I have been using the CR app for the Amazon Fire TV stick. Most of the time it works ok though sometimes you have to exit and reopen the app for any videos to show up. However, a few days ago my queue and history stopped showing up. Nothing fixes this. Yesterday most videos stopped working. They would show up through the browsing functions but when I selected "start watching" a message comes up saying that there is a problem and I should trying logging out and back in again. I have never been able to log out from this app from the time I started using it. If I try to log out it tells me I cannot log out right now, but there has never been a time when it worked.

So right now the app is basically completely broken for me. I can't watch anything I want to watch. Very annoying.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? I think there are also settings for clearing some of your data, but I've done the uninstall/reinstall a couple of times as it's pretty simple to do, and it did resolve the problem.

Try to change your subtitle language, that worked for me (following that post: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-998669/naruto-for-uk-users-working#56562357). I can watch Naruto Shippuden in German on my PC, but when I try to watch it on my Android phone or FireTV, I have to change the language to English (US) which is quite of an annoyance. Otherwise I get the warning: "Something went wrong. Please try to log out and log in again." on my FireTV and something about the show being prepared for my device on Android phone. I tried to log out and log in, I purged the apps completely, reinstalled and logged in again.

If this post will be read by Crunchyroll staff, please fix this ASAP.

tl;dr: Changing the subtitle to English (US) was the only way to fix this for me.

I still have this problem. Makes me wonder why I'm paying for an app that consistently doesn't work.
