Wow a Republican won a race in Georgia and South Carolina. Who would have ever thunk? Way to bring everyone the shocking news man.

Trump only won that district by about 1%. Its not a republican stronghold.

It's definitely a republican stronghold, it's the district that elected new gingrich back in the day. It's just that there are many republicans there who have a distaste for Trump. I don't know if his tweet really helped, and it was funny to listen to all the ads here since they really skirted around mentioning Trump. Despite all that outside money, no one that lives here really thought Ossoff would win. To me it says more that the Repubs were so worried about a district they normally would have carried so easily.

Elections outside of the normal cycle are pretty special and anything can happen with them due to lower/higher turnout. However Republicans weren't worried enough to dump ungodly high amounts of money into the race like Dems did. Who is really the party of the Rich with all of these campaign donations.

Haha! Actual comment from r/politics

My eyes are literally bloodshot red from crying for the last hour, and I just threw up from the stress. I can't believe we lost again. The president sexually assaults people, the Republican in Montana bodyslams people, and this bitch in Georgia refuses to let women with breast cancer get treatment. And the worst part is people still vote for them! It's happening. We are in 1930s Nazi Germany. We must resist.

------------------------------

It makes me sick that we are now completely controlled by Republican thugs and have Trump as President. I was at my mom's for the holidays and literally broke down crying there thinking the world my daughter will grow up in. I was screaming and lashing out at family dinner, since most of my relatives voted for such a racist, sexist, and Islamophobic piece of shit. My aunt had to give me a valium to calm down. I still wake up crying every night knowing that America, the country that once embraced progress and voted for the First Black President and had a chance to break the glass ceiling and have the First Woman President, actually voted in the embodiment of Hitler. A man who literally wants to throw gays and Muslims in camps.

FUCK. I need to go calm down. I can't believe uneducated white people did this to us.

idk which hitler I like more

Seriously. Since money is all Democrats can think about Trump's tweets must be worth $20 million a pop. Worried, maybe a little but they can also say tonight they are relieved.

Too much outside money, thank you California liberals.

Um, Handel received twice as much outside money as Oosoff. The bulk of Ossoff's was also small donations. While the bulk of Handel's was outside Superpacs funded by the Rich(tm) you're complaining about. The GOP also dumped more "ungodly high amounts of money" into the race than the Dems did.

Everything is quite literally the opposite of what you guys are on about.

Where Handel has Ossoff beat, however, is in outside spending totals. Super PACs have not been shy about showing their support for either candidate, but Handel has been the beneficiary of twice as much outside money as Ossoff. Outside spending boosting her campaign or attacking Ossoff totaled $18.2 million as of June 19, against just under $8 million by groups backing Ossoff or opposing Handel.

Also:

Nice how you completely neglected to mention the rest of the charts from that article.

Those are independent groups spending though.
Also, even adding that, Ossoff still spent more.

.....Yes, they're the "outside money" we're talking about. Political committees and Superpacs from out of state funneling money into the race. Of which everyone was complaining about the Dems doing when in fact it was the other way around by a factor of 2.

Backed and pushed by John Leguizamo: Rosie O’Donnell, Jane Fonda, and Samuel L. Jackson, Alyssa Milano, Sarah Silverman and Debra Messing but still lost big time. As Trump would say America is going to win, and keep winning. Democrat party is pushing agenda's the rest of America does not want or care about, and until they learn to stop pushing Identity politics, and stop funding and aiding terrorist groups like BLM and ANTIFA, they are going to keep loosing more and more people to other parties. ANTIFA and their Democrat backers have already been warned by the 3% that America will not take any more of their shit.

As for me I rather see some more 3rd party picks in office but at least we are weakening one of the most corrupt party in are country.

A shame to the great 'Handel' name. The only Handel I'll acknowledge was a composer.

BTW once again in GA a good chunk of people that should of been able to vote could not this time. Many people were turned away from voting because the polsters were confused about where the district ended. Many who legally could vote were denied there right. On top of that a majority black area in the 6th district also had there mechine malfuntion for half the day.

It would be more useful to know what Republican faction is she on? There is a lot of the Democrat versus Republican in this topic but it is important to note that the two major parties is highly heterogeneous and had recently been taken over by new factions; unless her more specific political affiliation is known, I cannot understand how she could get elected nor the implication of her election victory.
