Howdy Folks Brystar here i want to say that I started Crunchyroll recently and i want to say i am super happy i get to watch some of the old school classic series with Crunchyroll especially one of my personal old school classic series "Lupin the Third". Also i found it surprising that Fist of the North Star is on it, and also i love the fact that JoJo is on here and i consider that a Retro Anime since its Source Material is from the 1980's.

But there is not much of the classic animes on here, when are animes like Ashita No Joe, Hajime No Ippo, Cutey Honey, the original Sailor Moon, Kunnikuman, and others i cannot list much on there even the original Dragon Ball and Z is not on Crunchyroll just Super?

Maybe i am older and i appreciate the classics old school animes more, and by the way oh man i am so happy the Blue Jacket Lupin is on Crunchyroll a classic is back, i am a very happy camper.

I have Premium and for 7 dollars a month its well worth the investment i can now watch shows on my Wii U and also on my Android LG V20 phone as well.

So anyways will Crunchyroll bring more old school classics? Even with the manga selection JoJo is not on there and neither is Lupin i think?

What do you consider as Old School Classics? If you mean the early 2000's and before, I recommend Black Cat and Chrono Crusade (both early 2000's). They are not perfect, but they are worth a shot.

To answer your other question, both of the shows I mentioned were added within the last month due to the Funimation-Crunchyroll partnership. It is very possible that Funimation might bring over older shows besides these. In other words, there is a possibility of older shows being brought over to Crunchyroll.

Also, I would make it clear what you are asking. The title of the forum makes it seem like you are asking for suggestions.

If you consider shows based on older manga as old school, check out Ushio and Tora, Sailor Moon Crystal, and Parasyte. All three are newer anime based on manga from around the early 90s.

There are episodes of Case Closed and Crunchy recently got a variety of Gundam series. Also Ruroni Kenshin is on cr.

Yes, a lot of the classics you mentioned there are not available on Crunchyroll. There are some, like the ones other people already listed, but you won't be able to find most of them on here.

I'm not certain, but I think it might have to do with who currently holds the foreign distribution rights for many of these anime. I know that in the late 1990s and early 2000s many of the companies that held the distribution rights for some of the older anime folded. This has either left their distribution rights in limbo or in the hands of people who don't even care about doing anything with them. Until the rights laps back into the hands of the original rights holders in Japan, there's not much that can be done.

Ohh ok cool, and no i am not asking for suggestions but thank you for suggesting anyways.

Sorry for making it confusing for the title its my first time on Crunchyroll with the Premium and i am happy with it and i know that i am supporting the studios to create more profits with their shows it feels great doing this.

Ahh so thats why its like this, but HUH!!!!! There is more shows from Funimation coming, oh heck yes i am hoping for more shows from the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's on here.

I am 30 currently and well i am not too fond with modern anime nowadays i find alot of them just are not the same feeling or style from what i was exposed to back then, i don't know maybe the fact its not hand drawn much anymore its what makes it feel it loses its art form or something i am not 100 percent sure.
