This is more of a discussion to provoke awareness but, at the time goes on and we are starting to build these fusion reactors, I can't help but wonder how safe it would get.

The idea, since Einstein invented the nuke there is a 1/1000 chance it would create a fusion reaction that would turn the entire world into a sun. Nuclear fission has enough heat to cause fusion(I think around 5000 degrees), fusion in the air would cause a chain reaction with oxygen and turns the entire world into a sun.

So when you create a fusion reactor, it needs to be vacuum sealed, if you create fusion in mid air, you could cause a chain reaction and turn the entire world into a sun. This is speculation on my part and from my Physics teach back in high school

P.S Alright maybe fusion power plant would not reach critical mass, I do like to embrace free energy anyway

It was far more people like Oppenheimer, Einstein did not even work on the Manhattan project.

The only way to contain a fusion reaction is magnetic confinement.

Free energy is entirely a different thing, a la Tesla.

But since no meter could be put on that, Edison and JP Morgan conspired against him - there's a reason why the usgov confiscated and classified all of Tesla's material that did not already have patents on it when he died. That reason also has to do with JP Morgan and upstream, the One Bank.

Lol, right I got the Doomsday idea from watching a documentary about Tesla, he proposed death ray and weather storm device(Red Alert). A guy that should have gotten more credits than he deserved. He is not as prominent as Einstein though, why is Einstein's name in everything, no offense lol.

He too have proposed an idea about brain and electromagnetic radiation as he telepathically understands the moment his mother passed away. Same goes for the weather storm device, but those were only theories at his time.

P.S Alright he did not make it to 1947, but you get the idea

The fear of the Manhattan scientists was never that they would start a sustained fusion reaction on earth; even then they knew the energy to sustain heavy element fusion was way above what the Manhattan bombs would generate.

The fear was that the radiated energy from the detonation would be absorbed by atmospheric nitrogen, breaking the N2 into separate nitrogen atoms that would then combine with other elements, releasing more energy in the process in a self sustaining reaction. Remember, nitrogen bonds are *very* energetic. Nitrogen bonds are a chemical component of pretty much every explosive ever.

I think you need to learn the difference between fusion and fission. Also there's no "fusion reactors", it's called Nuclear reactors and they use fission.

(Wow, another fred post that "invented" an idea from our grandparents' time...
He's already writing that "Musket rifle" joke post as we speak.)

nope lets if recall right the games i've played are both kotors plus swtor which is favorite mmo 3 of the jedi knight series ( think was dark forces 1 and 2 and outcast) force unleashed 1. star fighter, pub commando, and empire at war demo been meaning to get the full games.

also part of the reasons i picked those 3 instead of for example the star crusher, silencers, or the eclipse is because they also can be used for more then just destroying stuff. o and i guess would make sense to add the force to the list as well

ahhh i've played all those, I still have jedi knights 2 on gamecube, and commando on xbox, and I've even played empire at war the full ones.
I've also played the old gameboy ones...

So many memories, I even remember playing pod racers on both the arcade and N64.

That is very accurate, well given a high enough temperature I suppose the fusion point of all the elements are the same? It does not take twice the temperature to cook an oxygen atom compares to a nitrogen atom, well, this is speculation on my part

P.S Well, I am not the first guy that came up with this, assuming all nukes could generate a temperature of 5000 degrees on detonation to trigger a fusion reaction

P.S I am somewhat afraid that of a fusion reactor, which the hydrogen atoms are pressurized in a vacuum, caught the metal casing on the side and triggers a deadly chain reaction
