I was looking forward to seeing them next month. LP has always been my favorite and this cuts deep. RIP Chester.

Suicide needs to be banned because it's harmful to your own health.
That's a joke, right?

Yes it's terrible to leave behind your family, but as someone who has suffered with severe depression and still battle it often I can only imagine a fraction of what he might've gone through.
Your mind is not your own anymore and his suicide is not done on a sane mind, he didn't think oh let me abandon my family because that is not how mental illness works.

I don't know if he was involved in the writing for all his songs, but the meaning of some of my favorite songs all change now.

Edit - case in point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2H4l9RpkwM

It really feels like he's talking about himself over and over again - his inner demons.

But then again, I could identify with the lyrics as well when I was younger and more volatile. I guess I grew out of it.

I tried listening to the music today though and it hurt a lot.

A lot of artists take from themselves in their songs, where some sing about their exes he sang about his demons.
Which I know I could relate to a lot.
Their songs don't seem different to me even now, I just understand a lot more why he hit all the right marks with others.

So sad His songs helped many people, including myself, to deal with depression. Awful to see him go away like this.
Rest in peace.
