For a while, now I've been receiving the following error message (see below) that pops up every time I skip backwards 10 seconds using a single left click of the remote while playing any video, unless I pause the video after skipping backwards. After I pause the video, when I resume right away this error never occurs. I have deleted several unused apps, cleared the history on the Apple TV app (which I never use), made sure everything was up to date, restarted the system, everything I could think of... Its just kind of annoying to me, and I figured if anyone else had this problem and never mentioned it, it would likely continue to gnaw on my nerves forever. If you also found this annoying and have discovered a solution, I would appreciate your help very much! Thanks!

I don't see the picture I thought I uploaded, so I'm going to type the error message here just in case.

Cannot Load Video
We're having trouble loading this Video. Please check your internet connection and retry

Then is has a retry and cancel button below that message. While displaying this message the screen turns grey.

I figured I should also mention this error message doesn't pop up right away after I've skipped backwards, the video will continue to play normally after I've skipped backwards for 10-20 seconds before this message pops up. No matter what, I have to pause/resume the video to keep this from happening.

I've been having this problem too! It's been happening for over a month and I have tried everything that Username_Bob has mentioned and nothing works! There is nothing wrong with my internet connection and it continues to play as that pop up appears; it's incredibly frustrating. Is something up with Crunchyroll? All my other apps play appropriately, I have tons of space on my Apple Tv, and there is nothing wrong with my network connection as other apps play without lag. Can someone provide additional advice or another approach that may help? Please!

I also have this problem, and it's incredibly annoying, since it creates this fullscreen error every time I skip back 10secs. The fullscreen error message is absolutely meaningless, as there are no problems once you click away the prompt without choosing 'Cancel'.

Crunchyroll please look into this. It should be straight forward to reproduce.

I don’t mind to bring back an old thread but I am getting the same error message as OP and was wondering if there are any fixes for it. I’ve been dealing with the message for the last month and it is absolutely annoying. Every time I rewind to rewatch a funny or serious part, a very short while later, that message pops up. I have the newest Apple TV. Everything is fully updated. I’m connected through reliable hard wire cable for internet.

Same thing is happening on my Apple TV as well. And the video is still playing in the background when the error is popping up, so I have to skip backwards to see what it is I missed them saying.

I have the same issue it is definitely an apple tv 4 app bug , when I use my android tv aka nv shield tv, it works fine without any problems. I hope the fix it but I have seen that bug for a long long time now. Nothing I tried seems to help but hey, the android tv app has a bug too , it has problems with the last watched episode in the queue it is always wrong, at least that is working fine on the apple tv. Sometimes I wonder if I ever get the perfect app back in the days on my old apple tv 3 that was the best app they ever did I can only hope.

I get this error message all too frequently as well, but never when rewinding - simply (trying to) watching regularly it pops up multiple times; soooooo annoying!
