So, tell me, have you ever forced yourself to like something but hated it in the end? Why do we do this?

What do you think?

If someone important to you recommends something and you give it a shot. That's just showing how much you care. If you end up hating it oh well. Nothing wrong with it.

Also healthy foods.

Both are good for you. But it can't be helped if you just don't like it.

True about the recommendation part. Which is what I refuse to recommend it things to people.

Well, it depends on the healthy food for me.

Nope. I have not forced myself to like anything. Will I give it a try? Absolutely. If I don't like it, I don't like it. Oh well. I also won't attack others for liking it just because I don't or vice versa.

I've done that with food a lot. It takes usually takes me a few minutes to go 'nope, I don't like this'.

Yea, I did that with Seven Deadly Sins simply because it was getting a lot of coverage at the time and I needed a new proloned anime to indulge in. Five episodes in I was like "nope".

Not really. I may push myself to try something out of my comfort zone which I may end up liking or hating. It makes things interesting to take that risk. If I like it then I'm pleasantly surprised, if I hate it then I may not try it again or resolved to change my approach if I come across it again. Either way I learn something and that's valuable.

my short attention span doesn't allow me to force myself into any situation. if I don't care for something I tend to drop it and rarely return back to it and I'll gladly tell someone the truth who suggested it and the likes. that's how I've always been.

Yes, with an anime called "Re: Zero", because of all the hype around the time it came out, I watched episode after episode and only made it to episode 8(?) before dropping it. Then I re-watched it again from episode 5, and tried forcing myself to like it but again I couldn't even make it to 10 episodes.

Tried to get through a few things a now ex-girlfriend liked. Supernatural I enjoyed but One Piece... she loved that show and I tried to see what she liked so much about it but god damn it I just couldn't do it.

Also multiplayer games. Got a close friend who is always looking to play one but EVERY. SINGLE. DAMN. TIME he gets super salty and rage quits cause he can't one man army hard carry the game and is a really bad loser. Jumping on a game and losing the first match is enough for him to throw a wobbler.
I humour his vain attempts but it's hard.

Miso.
Even bought three different kinds, hoping maybe I just didn't like one variety.

Fate Stay Night. Friend kept pushing it onto me. Played the first route, and pretty much just /hated/ everything about Shirou and the way he went about his life. Went through half of second route and just gave up because it was so damn wordy.

The UBW anime proved to be better, and I enjoyed it somewhat. Though my opinion of Shirou hasn't risen much.
Fate/Zero was really good though, and I'm glad someone sat me down to watch it because I was so done with Fate. Waver and Iskandar saved the show for me.
Prisma Illya is really really good and I love it so much. It uses background information from Fate well without overwhelming the series with it, and it's pretty darn sincere as a standard magical girl anime. Albeit, more lewd.
