Just curious.

I am gone from my home from 6:15 am - 6:15-6:30 pm Monday through Thursday. I spend on average, 40 minutes just driving to and from work. Of course, the time will differ depending on traffic, accidents, and weather in the winter.

If you have to commute to work or school, how long is it?

I'm looking at an hour and a half trip to get to my job.

Is it safe to assume you are working in a metropolitan area and the reason why you have to commute far is that of cheaper housing?

Actually, the reason for my long commute is largely because our offices were relocated a couple years ago. There has been talk of moving us somewhere else, but no one is certain where that will be at the moment.

Almost 1 hour to get to school. Same time back. Bus, trolley, and train to get there. Opposite order back.

About 45 minutes; sometimes longer. It includes walking between my home and the T station, time waiting on platform, time on train, and time walking between T station and office location.

Sometimes I resent the time it takes (especially on those days when something happens and it takes an hour or more), but all in all it doesn't feel bad. I don't exercise regularly so the short walks are something at least, and I enjoy listening to podcasts and reading books during the commute.

20 minute drive on 2-lane roads... but it can vary greatly 'cause I get stuck behind all manner of odd vehicles and payloads.

i'm about 2-10 ft from my work. Instead of spending 2 hr or so for driving to work and back + getting ready for work.. I added 2 extra hour of work per day (14 hr/week) by working from home.

We will put more money in the consumers' pockets and increase productivity if we don't waste so much time on commute/getting ready to work.

My commute is about 20 minutes. I'm gone from 7:30 am - 7:00 pm. I usually arrive at work 10 minutes early....because well I like being early.

It takes me maybe five minutes to walk to campus.

I've done the whole over an hour commute thing. Never again.

It usually takes me 10-15 minutes to get to school, but then again I ride the bus and I live in the suburbs so it's usually shorter

I can't drive yet which really sucks because my bus picks me up at 6:45 even though school starts at 7:40
