lol listening the FF radio right now and the song that is playing is very fitting (Nobuo Uematsu - Dancing Mad)
Has that grave yard apocalyptic feel.

EDIT: I've got an original one, Global warming!

I'd believe it. So many issues are more a matter of pride instead a matter of importance.

Yep. Pride, brainwashing, social justice, political correctness, guilt, etc. A whole number of things. Under educated, over educated, living in a bubble, living in the past. They all contribute.

EDIT: add in fear mongering, propaganda, fake news, misinformation, information being covered up, etc

Both liberal and conservative values have their pros and cons.

I personally do not want our entire nation to think uniformly. I rather hear multiple ideas and choose the best from each one.

This is probably why I'm a libertarian. I enjoy both leftist and conservative values.

Good, I rather not deal with this shit anymore, quite personally. The people who obsess over "Politics" has usually been those I found moronic. We are becoming so strongly identified by our political views that many are defining themselves by their politics, their favorite candidates, and all that other hopeless squandering of precious time.

One of the things I want to mention is that a liberal does not have to be a democrat anymore than a conservative is a republican. There is a difference between believing in ideals and allying yourself with a supposed proponent of those ideals.

"Nothing™" will bring about an apocalyptic situation that stems from the "Human Condition".
Worrying about "Western Civilization" is just as much of a waste of time as concerning oneself about how many scoops of ice cream Donald Trump had for dessert.
Politics are a hot topic because of the tension between parties (US), classes (economic), races, and religion. Politics focus on a small field that can potentially manipulate the tension in one's personal preference.
This causes people to get their panties in a bundle about political positions and who are currently in charge of what, or who should not be in charge of something (depending on preference).

It won't kill off humanity.
We'll just keep moaning until something changes, then another demographic will begin to moan.

It's all bullshit. All of it. All the arguing, name calling and pointless debating will hinder our society to evolve as a whole. Humans should work together to achieve great things no matter what 'side' they see themselves on.

But what does dressing people in clown pants and make-up ACTUALLY PROVE HUH!?

YEAH.

What have you to say about that!?

Yes, we should all hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Because humans are so good at doing that.

GL with interstellar space flight when the majority of the earth's population is made up of glorified cargo cults in a few hundred years thanks to liberals and globalists.

I think you may be missing a very important point here; conflict and competition actually drive innovation. If everyone was to suddenly join hands and start cooperating, yes, we would be able to build many things, but there would be little that would be truly new or revolutionary. It is the desire to be better than the Joneses (to butcher an old saying), or to be safe from one's enemies that truly drives progress. This may seem very cynical, because... well it is, but it is still fairly accurate, besides; arguing, nitpicking and name calling are still better than shooting and killing, wouldn't you agree?

Dunno.
These guys seem alright at it: as far as I can tell.
Maybe you have a pretty good idea here, Shipwright.
