I could go down to Oregon to watch it. But it's just a little further than I really feel like going for that. Even though I do think it sounds pretty cool.

if I get up in time then yes, if not oh well. to me it doesn't really matter not like I'm going to remember it anyways, so I pretty much stopped looking at all these things that transpire out there in the world. I'm nocturnal I tend to sleep most of the day and up during the night, also have insomnia, so there's a yay or nay in there somewhere I'm sure.

I will be somewhere in Idaho viewing the eclipse. Doing this on vacation only amplifies the pleasure.

Anyone remember TV series call Apparitions? The part where Demon name Legion cause Eclipse and people shatter, while he went inside the holy place to break the statue Mary in order to get some Relic?

I might go outside to see a partial eclipse (Louisville, Kentucky), but I'm not planning on it too much. Cloudy sky with rain would ruin expectations.

My mom works in springfield oregon (an hour away from where my family lives), and her boss told all of the employees to NOT come in for work during that few day span. Work from home (since theyre software developers).
Other things that were told: DONT use the roads AT ALL unless you really have too...also, if you pull off to the side of the road, chances are youre not getting back on. Get your vehicles filled with gas before monday, because we are most likely gonna run out and be out for a while.
The weigh stations through the state are being converted over to emergeny vehicle stops, because people are most likely gonna pull off to the sides of he roads (freeways) everywhere just to get a good view...and since we have wildfires alreading going on...add a few drunk idiots celebrating, and vóila! MORE FIRES.
I work in roseburg, and i am probably gonna have to leave for work an hour or two early depending on traffic...even though i live 15 minutes away.

I really want to see it, even though I'll only being seeing a partial eclipse where I live. But I haven't purchased any viewing glasses and I'm worried my order won't come on time, even if I do rush shipping. One vendor I was looking into said the estimated time of arrival would be the 22nd, even if I order it now and do 2-day shipping. (And it's ridiculous, I'm only trying to purchase one, but most of the listings are sets of 4 or more and therefore more expensive.) I'm excited to see pictures though.

I was thinking of that, That gotta suck big time.. Especially if weatherman said it'll be clear day and enjoy the Eclipse viewing!

I mean while we're standing outside and putting on our Eclipse sunglasses and all suddenly its cloudy and start raining right when it suppose to happen.

I plan to but all of the eclipse glasses are sold out around town. The only ones I can find online are huge packs when I only want one.
