I like this fight because is going to test 2 opposite philosophies that apply to any field.

The first one is that some people believe that everyone should specialize in wherever they do for a living; that they should become experts in what they do. Even though that these people can struggle when trying something new out of their expertise.

The second one is that some people believe that learning about a lot of things gives you a better understanding; the capacity of dealing with almost all kind of problems. Even though that these people lack depth in all the things that they say to know.

These philosophies are going to be tested in this fight, where on one hand we have the expert in one thing (Mayweather - Boxing) and on the other hand, we have the Jack of all trades (Mcgregor - Mixed Martial Artist).

Note: when I said "Jack of all trades" I didn't mean it in a negative way, I just couldn't find a word or phrase in English to describe a person that is not an expert in one thing but that knows about a lot of things without being an expert in any of those. Please don't miss the point of my post!

Mayweather will pick this man apart. Theres no denying Conor is a great fighter, but hes no boxer to the extent of Mayweather JR. The game has changed

after the Pacquiao fight, the man isn't going to flinch from a shit talking MMA fighter Floyd can take a hit. there's no chance

Yeah, I agree with you there. This fight isn't really about who's better than who or which sport (boxing or MMA) is better than which. It's a payday for these guys. Pure and simple.

No, you're using it right. That's exactly what that phrase implies. In fact the full phrase is 'Jack of all trades, master of none.'

I would like to add the original full phrase was

Jack of all trades, master of none,
though oftentimes better than master of one.

Just an interesting extra tidbit

Mayweather will flatten the guy. McGregor simply has too much to "unlearn" to box at pro level.

Simply swapping from one full body use, striking focussed martial art to another was difficult. I can't imagine trying to suppress reflexes on hit location, grapples, throws, locks etc. of MMA down to Punch only, Above the Waist only.

As others have said, it's a nice fat payday for both guys so more power to them.

Well, it went the full ten rounds and Mayweather won on a TKO.

Good on McGregor for a strong showing. I expected a second or third round straight KO
