Is there any yuri animes out there that are kinda like "shounen hero" type shows? Like something like Naruto or idk My Hero Academia? There's so many yuri animes out there where the whole focus is them being lesbians. What I'm looking for is something that centers around the main character and whatever the show is about, and they end up being a lesbian and have a budding relationship throughout the show. Like how most shounen hero shows go, but like... lesbians? That's the trouble I have with "yuri" anime is that the show has to focus around the fact that they're gay, like it can't be like "they're a hero who so happens to be gay." There are too many yuri slice of life anime or are gross animes that exploit how "lesbians are hot." Please help if there is such an anime that exists.

That's how Yaoi and Yuri tend to be, which is really freaking sad. I haven't watched them yet, so I can't say if they are actually good, but people have recommended me Akuma no Riddle, Canaan, Simoun, and Utena. They did seem interesting, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. Wish there was more nice stuff

Yeah Akuma No Riddle is an option.

Maybe Flip Flappers as well? It's not super shounen in style but it's sort of an action/psychological hybrid.

Najica Blitz Tactics probably fits the bill. It certainly feels like it is aimed at young men with fan service taken to the most extreme level I have ever seen. Most of the villains are female and have no issues fighting in revealing clothes or just their underwear (it is so blatant it overshadows the plot and I think it would have been better without it).

I can't recall if the main characters are confirmed lesbians but the potential for a relationship between the lead and her sidekick are a definite plot line they tried to show off.

One thing I think you will find is that shounen shows which have lesbian characters will often emphasise the sexual connotations of the relationship in order to appeal to the young men who are their target market. If you are looking for character development in a lesbian relationship the majority of shows will be in the shoujo market.

While I don't think it's considered Shounen, Blue Drop is similar in style. Cross Ange is a mecha anime that explores the lead (and multiple other characters) lesbian and bi-sexual relationships. Others have pointed out some solid titles as well.
