Crunchy roll has been consistently charging my debit card over the past year even after cancelling my premium memberships TWICE! Because apparently I didn't do it right the first time, I guess?

I've complained to their customer service/billing and requested total reimbursement but apparently my problem is not important enough to deal with....even though they have been deliberately stealing from me.

Has anyone else here experienced this bullshit?

I also wanted to add: they charged my debit card this morning, on the very day my debit card expires and I just RE-CANCELLED the first week of August!

I don't see a topic for the forum here. You should contact the support.

If you aren't to attached too your account, I recommend nuking and starting anew. Your card info will be cleared, and you will have a newly-secured account free of possible tampering.

I've nuked a compromised account, but haven't dealt with your issue.

Before jumping to conclusion, I want to know whether your password is used on other social media as well since the stolen password could explain this.

You should discuss with your bank. Most banks/card companies will block transactions like this if you can demonstrate your attempts to cancel with the service provider and may even charge the company for continuing to process incorrect transactions.

I'd still speak to your bank now as some cards have protection schemes where they will reimburse you and claim back from the company. Also you may get charged if CR continue to attempt claims on your old card (depending on your bank's rules/local laws).

Crunchyroll's cancel membership option onsite flat out does not work. It will act like it does something, but it does nothing. I highly suggest using paypal in the future because you can cancel subscriptions on paypal's end easily. For debit cards you will need to reach Crunchyroll support. If that still isn't working definitely contact your bank.

I would use the Contact Us. I remember a few years ago I wanted to switch to a Yearly subscription and to do that I had to cancel my premium. I tried canceling and they just kept charging the monthly premium instead of canceling. After contacting them each month this happened, they refunded me the 3 months of payments they took out, gave me a month free premium and canceled the subscription so I could go yearly.

The website is broken in so many places, the worst place it is broken at is the cancellation section, your best moves are, call your bank to put a stop to the payments, and then contact CR and complain to them about the continuous fees taken out. Though with out previous contact attempts I doubt they can prove you tried canceling.

Good luck though. oxo

Same issue here in 2018. They just blamed the customer instead of being accountable for their actions. Look for my other posts and you will see the corruption and lies go deep with this company.
