Delayed Sci-Fi Anime Movie "Genocidal Organ" Featured In New Preview

Project Itoh adaptation delayed due to Manglobe bankruptcy

Last fall, a trio of Noitamina anime movie adaptations of the works of Satoshi Itō, a sci-fi novelist who wrote under the name Project Itoh, and who passed away in 2009 at age 34, were scheduled to open in Japanese theaters, including the WIT Studio adaptation of Empire of Corpses in October, then Manglobe's Genocidal Organ in November and Studio 4°C's Harmony December 4th. While Manglobe's bankruptcy forced a change in those plans, Genocidal Organ moved to a different studio, and is still being promoted. A new preview is being presented today along with Noitamina's upcoming slate of projects.

Viz's Haikasoru sci-fi prose label published the novel in North America and describes it:

Genocidal Organ

The war on terror exploded, literally, the day Sarajevo was destroyed by a homemade nuclear device. The leading democracies have transformed into total surveillance states, and the developing world has drowned under a wave of genocides. The mysterious American John Paul seems to be behind the collapse of the world system, and it’s up to intelligence agent Clavis Shepherd to track John Paul across the wreckage of civilizations and to find the true heart of darkness—a genocidal organ.

FUNimation licensed the anime.
