MADHOUSE's adaptation of dark fantasy light novel series continues in July of 2018
Musical groups MYTH&ROID and OxT are reprising their roles as the opening and ending theme performers for Overlord III, the continuing TV anime adaptation based on the dark fantasy novels written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin about an ordinary MMORPG player who takes on the role of a supremely powerful undead sorcerer when he finds himself trapped in a world similar to his favorite video game.
MYTH&ROID performs the opening theme for Overlord III, entitled "VORACITY", while OxT performs the as-yet-untitled ending theme. "VORACITY" will be released as a single in Japan on August 08, 2018.
The original Overlord novels are published in Japan by enterbrain, and Yen Press also publishes an English language version of the series. The Overlord III TV anime is directed by Naoyuki Itō and features animation by MADHOUSE. Overlord III will broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2018.
The previous two seasons of Overlord are streamed in North America by Crunchyroll and Funimation, who describe the story as follows:
When a popular MMORPG is scheduled to be shut down permanently, veteran player Momonga refuses to log out. As NPCs begin to develop personalities and minds of their own he decides to put his skills to use as the game’s new overlord.
