Tokyo-based company Uni Create's virtual YouTuber Uni Akatsuki is a self-proclaimed one thousand-year-old vampire character. She started her activities on the web in March 2018, and her official YouTube channel "Uni Channel" has been viewed more than 20 million times a month.
As the first one in the virtual YouTuber community, she has been supporting the blood donation campaign by Akita Prefecture's Japanese Red Cross Society since April 1, 2019. Thanks to her efforts through SNS, including her official YouTube channel and Twitter, the number of blood donors has increased 20 percent at each facility in the prefecture.
