Night City Beckons in Japanese Trailer for Cyberpunk 2077

Spike Chunsoft will release the physical PS4 edition of CD Projekt Red's upcoming sci-fi RPG

A heavily-modified street samurai works a deal at a cybernetic clinic in CD Projekt Red's upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077.


The cyberpunk subgenre has always been obsessed with the Land of the Rising Sun, and now things have come full circle with the release of the main cast and the Japanese dubbed trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red's upcoming video game that is based on the classic tabletop roleplaying game. The main Japanese cast for Cyberpunk 2077 includes:


  • Chikahiro Kobayashi and Risa Shimizu as V, the protagonist.
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Johnny Silverhand.
  • Yōji Ueda as Jackie Welles.
  • Ryūzaburō Ōtomo as Dexter DeShawn.
  • Yasuhiro Mamiya as Placide.
  • And Kaori Yamagata as Brigitte.



CD Projekt Red describes Cyberpunk 2077 as follows:


Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released worldwide on April 16, 2020. Spike Chunsoft publishes the physical PlayStation 4 release in Japan, while CD Projekt publishes the PlayStation 4 download, Xbox One download, and PC download versions of the game in Japan.
