INN THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON underway until March 20th
A new art project by noted Japanese artist and fragment design streetwear label founder Hiroshi Fujiwara in collaboration with Pokémon sees both entities taking over the 16th floor of the luxury hotel sequence in Shibuya, Tokyo's Miyashita Park area known as the INN THUNDERBOLT PROJECT BY FRGMT & POKÉMON.
The project involves turning the floor and guest rooms into a soothing and relaxing interpretation of the game's atmosphere, complete with an exclusive guest-only shop that features exclusive accessories and apparel. The tie up also sees the guest rooms feature customized decor, collectible and complementary plush dolls, pillows, linens and toiletries along with physical Pokédex books made to look like stereotypical "hotel Bibles".
The themed floor and tie-in runs from now until March 20th, and the hotel is currently accepting reservations, should you be able to fly to Japan and experience it for yourself. Noted streetwear culture and luxury lifestyle website Hypebeast features a gallery and first look video of the themed hotel floor.
