Series creator Naoko Takeuchi collabs with her "favorite cool brand"

Fashion has always been an integral part of Sailor MoonNaoko Takeuchi's beloved magical girl series. So it's only natural that major fashion brands would want to collab—the latest being luxury shoe maker Jimmy Choo!

Takeuchi is excited about the collaboration, saying that Jimmy Choo—which she refers to as her "favorite cool brand"—exudes the same young, fresh sensibility she instilled in her manga.

Sandra Choi, creative director at Jimmy Choo, enjoyed working with Takeuchi, highlighting the series's theme of "transforming through fashion." She added that she loves working with female creators, and adds that Sailor Moon and Jimmy Choo have shared missions of the empowerment of women and the power of fashion to elevate people.

The shoes will be available worldwide starting February 14, and will be featured in their own pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku February 15-21.
