  • I'm rating five stars for all the arists hard work but I have some minor complaints
Full Metal Panic is a series I have been with since almost the beginning. My series in the interest peaked with the series' hilarious and wonderfully animated comedy outing "Full Metal Panic Fumofou" done by Kyoto Animation. As I went back to rewatch the original series, I found a beautiful story, insanely catchy OPs for every season and some really fantastic animation, especially in the 3rd ...

    A Hesitant 5, But 5 Nonetheless
Thirteen YEARS. It's practically at Duke Nukem levels of anticipation for those who grew up with Full Metal Panic!

First, some backstory: For many people, this is a series of nostalgia, one of the first mecha anime they could really sink their teeth into (outside of the obvious Gundam series, but that is always farther removed from modern day than FMP! was), and it delivered a fascinating story ...

  • A conflicted 4 out of 5 stars
Let me start by saying that I love Full Metal Panic. I've watched all the previous anime entries and finished reading Sigma so I was super freaking excited when this popped up on the newly added shows for last season. The reason I'm conflicted is because I did enjoy this entry to the series, I felt it was well animated as well as acted and definitely added to the franchise as a whole. However the ...

    3.5 from a longtime fan
Let's be honest, this project clearly didn't get the faith or budget it deserved. In fact based solely on this I'd never hire XEBEC. It's almost a tragedy after KyoAni's gorgeous work on TSR.

They jammed three novels into 12 episodes, which wasn't ideal and resulted in less crucial details being left out. I can't help dwelling on where they could've cut down to optimize their time better. I ...

  • Could not recommend more highly
This is a fantastic continuation of a great series. The animation, story, and fight scenes are all as good as or better than the previous seasons. They kick things up a notch with a more serious tone and more emotional impact. If you want to genuinely fear for the characters and their welfare, and have a big investment in the outcome of the story, this is the anime for you.
They seem to have kept ...

is a series of light novels written by Shoji Gatoh and illustrated by Shiki Douji. The series follows Sousuke Sagara, a member of the covert anti-terrorist private military organization known as Mithril, tasked with protecting Kaname Chidori, a hot-headed Japanese high school girl.

  • FMP! has captured my heart again!
I have so much love for this series, and this was an awesome installment - seeing how far the characters have from from the first season to now has been a wonderful journey, and I hope season 5 is made with the conclusion. This series deserves a proper ending. While I know it has been completed in the novels, it would be nice to see it animated. I crave to see more!

  • We need more!!!!!!!!
Loved the series since day one, I have read all of the light novels and manga. I cannot wait for the next season. Kaname and Sousuke are what got me into anime, after 10 years it was incredible having another season. Follows FMP Sigma manga. New animation was good, but we need more!! crunchy roll needs to play a bigger part in funding these shows, where is all of our subscription money go?!

  • Great...but annoying fillers & delays
Full disclosure: I really enjoy the FMP franchise (see my other reviews) and have come to really like the relationship between Souske and Kaname despite my hate for love stories interwoven with my action-theme anime's.

Why I think you'll like this series:
If you like action, mechs and a fast-paced storyline, and loved FMP series 1, I think you will really like this next instalment. The story ...
