  • Massively Underrated
This series gets an unfairly bad rap and I really hope the low score doesn't turn people off. It's not the action heavy show some wanted but I really like it. The conflict well explained and it's all perfectly in character. Is it a bit predictable maybe? I don't really fault it for that. It's a good story well told and the ending was on point.

  • GATCHAMAN CROUNDS is an unexpected surprise
I watched very original GATCHAMAN on TV back in 1970's when I was child in Japan. When I heard "GATCHMAN CROUDS" I thought it is full-CG re-make of GATCHAMAN, straight-forward hero team vs evil empire fighting action show. I CANNOT BE MORE WRONG! When I watch the 1st episode, my response was "What a h*** is this...?!". Everything is unexpected and unpredictable with this show. Every characters are ...

  • #130. Hajime Ichinose best girl!
Gatchaman Crowds is really, just bizarre... It is a Sci-Fi action anime about superheroes, with A LOT of social commentary, which is to the show's benefit and detriment. This is mostly prevalent based on what season you are watching. The way the first season handles it I prefer, and it also manages to have crazy weird power suits for it's cast and some cool fights here and there. As for the second ...

  • A Social World with Superheroes
This show is an excellent watch if you have interest in either social psychology or social media. It brings up both of these topics in its two seasons with each season taking on a different aspect of these two ideas. Really most of the characters of this show are really there to facilitate the events of what happens when certain things are set into motion by a greater social force. So if you like ...

  • Worth Watching Even Now
I had my doubts about Gatchaman since it had some of what I call my anime red flags up, but honestly I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The art is wonderful and the soundtrack is lush. Don't even get me started on the G-suit designs! Honestly this was a blast to watch especially considering the prominence of the female protagonists. Please give this show a watch!

  • Not the Heroes you want, but the ones you Need.
Are you a Political Science Major?
    Are you a Psychology Major?
Are you of Voting Age in your country?
Have you ever wondered if things could be done differently?
Have you ever just gone with the flow, doing what everyone else did, only to regret it?
This is a show for you.

The Art Style is more of a love it or hate it affair (I'm not always fond of it). 2.5/5
The Music is mundane, or ...

    (Season one) Surprisingly Disappointing
Now the anime dose a lot of good here, stuff I'd like to see more of. I can't help but love the music, and the art is wonderfully upbeat. Even the action, when there is action, is fun.

Now where it falls flat. Fist off the Main character is a full on Mary Sue, in every way. The only saving grace is that much of the show dose not revolve around her, and she mostly comes in as a solution to all ...

a true display of the growth an anime can have.
So, i dont write alot of review's, but this anime in the end stands out from any other i've seen. And i will not say it's because of the well crafted story, or the exellent fighting. Not even the loveable characters. This anime though it has all three things i just mentioned, is great for how it grows. It's an okey anime in the start, and remainse like that pretty much the whole first season with ...

  • Why Does It Always End So Well?
I am always struggling through the series, but speed through the final episodes.

This series was made on killer endings.

The characters all develop pretty well (my favorite characters don't get nearly enough screen time), the animation is average, and the plot is not too bad and quite relevant for our digital age. However, this series knows how to close, and I always feel so satisfied at the ...

    The Thinkers Hero Show
The first few episodes of Gatchaman Crowds, I wasn't entirely into it. To be honest, I'm not big on transforming heroes, I never was, and it took me several episodes until I got into the show. However, it has been a trip worth taking. This is not your typical hero anime, or hero work in general. It's something of a deconstruction of the genre, and actually something very fresh. It brings up in ...
