Absolute riot, one of the best parodies in anime (abridged review)
Good Luck Girl (formerly Binbougami-ga! on Funimation) is brilliant. Much like the demented and hilarious Excel Saga, Good Luck Girl takes up anime tropes - including fan service - and destroys them while making you laugh your ass off. It follows the tale of the ridiculously lucky Ichiko and the poverty god Momiji, as the latter tries to steal back all the luck Ichiko was unknowingly stealing from ...

    This show is great!!
The better work by the creator of Twin Star Exorcist.

The comedy is on point and all the characters have great chemistry with each other.
I really like how both Sakura and Momiji help each other develop more as characters.
A shame It probably will never see a continuation as the manga goes way beyond whats offered in this adaptation.

  • Comedy-based Fantasy Slice of Life
The series has interesting character tropes, but character development for the main character is nothing new or novel. Nonetheless, it doesn't mean this anime isn't enjoyable. In fact, I'd say its perfect as a pick-me-up during harder times when you just want something to watch and destress to.

  • Wonderful, comedic show!
Everything about this show is great! The mild fan service, the comedy, the characters and the MC's development. The show's painfully self-aware shtick makes it even funnier to watch! From parodying other anime to breaking the fourth wall, like when the teacher explained that his class had a lot of transfer students because the main characters were in his class or Sakura noting that Tsuwabaki was ...

  • Looking for a fun time sponge?
Binbougami ga! Was the first manga that I read monthly from its start to its finish and because of that it holds a very special place in my heart. Good Luck Girl! is a faithful anime adaptation that captures the spirit of the story and characters wonderfully, that being balancing Looney Toons levels of comedy with serious drama and character growth.

The comedy of the show is heavy on ...

  • Some of the best slapstick of the decade
Physical comedy and referential humor when written or paced poorly can be some of the most inane and boring stuff out there, which is probably a big part of the reason those genres are often looked down upon, but Binbougami Ga! is basically a master class in how good they can be when the jokes, visual and verbal, are well-scripted and the direction infuses them with the requisite energy and pacing ...

A tale of the unfortunate side of always being fortunate.
This is easily a 5-star rate, while it generated very much conflicting opinions from both of us, which affected individual episode commenting, it showed a very important life lesson.

I have never not known loneliness and will never know it.
I have known loneliness, and never want to experience it again, yet it will always return.

    For me, solitude is best.
