Really enjoyable Pro Sport Anime (3rd episode so far)
I will start by saying this isn't like "Ace of the Diamond" or many other sports anime. This focuses less on suspense for the team and more on individual characters. So this show is not for everyone.

The characters are developing well. The show has introduced 3 major characters I would say so far and given them some backstory etc.

This show is providing nice background info about things ...

A Baseball Anime for Baseball Fans
This is based solely on episode one and may change as the show goes on. However, I wanted to write this review early to encourage people to give this show a shot.

However, I doubt it'll be of much interest to you if you aren't already a baseball fan. There's a decent amount of jargon that you might not understand unless you actually have a decent amount of knowledge about most aspects of the ...

A sports anime with a twist
(Review is based on the four episodes released so far)

Money Pitch isn't an anime about how X player is going to be the best ever. Or an anime about an already great player trying to win it all. This is about a Bonda, a major league middle relief pitcher, who is trying to make as much money as possible before he eventually is replaced for good.

It details the cruel life of the pro sports ...

If you've played sports at a high level, this one is for you
If you follow players rather than teams, watch this. If you've been drafted recently, watch this. A more complete review is below, but professional athletes should definitely give this show a watch.

For those of you who have made the cut and no longer have to worry about getting on a team but staying on a team, this is for you. This is sort of like North Dallas 40, though significantly ...

Welcome to the big leagues, where money is what's important.
A unique view of sports, no high school students looking to be the best "insert important position here" ever. Just a 26 year old, relief pitcher looking to make a living in the pro circuit. The opening is catchy and fit the show well, not an action pact rock of power or a rousing friendship filled we can do it, but a splice of life going with the flow style. the ending is a simple focus on ...

  • I usually hate Sports Anime...
I usually hate Sports Anime. No, seriously. I do. But this one is somehow different. I guess it's partially because it's set in the Pro's instead of high school, and partially because whoever's doing the writing has some real talent. The protagonist is an everyman that you can relate to, even though he's a Pro Athlete, and he's a great sympathetic character with at least somewhat believable quirks ...

  • Entertaining and Insightful for Japanese Baseball
This was an entertaining anime into baseball. I hope the producer adds more episodes to the series. It provides insight into Japanese baseball on rotation of players, pay, and deciding of contracts. The hiring of players by the owners for the season was interesting. I would like to see what happens to him with the waitress and to see if his salary increases. Can't wait until the Blu-ray is ...

  • Awesome and relaxing to watch
More people should seriously check this out. I feel this anime might be underrated. Regardless, I tend to like sports anime, and realistic anime. It's funny at times and tense at other times. Sad at times but also exciting to keep going. It's not a thriller or horror or action-packed or anything like that, but it's fun and enjoying to watch. It doesn't get boring in terms of content related to the ...

  • Great, entertaining way to learn about Baseball
If you know nothing about Baseball, like me, this anime is a good chance to learn. The series peppers in rules and tactics of professional players, while the conflicts and pressures of being a pro player make up the plot. Bonda, the character the series mostly follows, is a middle reliever trying to break into a higher paying contract. While avoiding the specter of being injured and benched for ...

  • Baseball Fans are Us
Most of the reviews here have duly noted that this anime seems to be written exclusively for baseball fans. However, with this anime, if you look past just the sports aspect you find a well written character driven story about an insecure, but seemingly happy, pro-player and the people he interacts with. Im up to episode 6 and loving every minute of it. Kudos to the writer and creative team.
