  • One for the Sports Bros
Gurazeni is not an underdog story. It's not about high stakes or becoming the best that anyone ever was. Bonda is just a baseball player. A middle relief pitcher, one of the most forgotten positions in the game. This story is about the day to day life of an athlete, hoping that he can just survive after the game. It's a side that many of us don't normally think about. Hell, a lot of athletes don't ...

  • (Criminally underwetched! )Gurazeni displays the ups and downs of being a professional baseball player in an entertaining way.
    (Spoiler Warning)

At its core, Gurazeni: Money Pitch is a show for baseball fans, though that isn't to say that non-baseball fans can't enjoy this show. This show does a good job explaining some baseball lingo and the culture of the game.

Gurazeni: Money Pitch follows the story of 26-year old Natsunosuke Bonda, a left-handed relief pitcher for the Spiders. His role is a LOOGY ...

  • Good Comedy Sports action
Show has good balance of comedy with an inside view of baseball politics with game action sprinkled within as well. Shows an interesting look at sports from the perspective of a player who isn't a star player but a middle reliever someone not usually in the spotlight.

    Season 3 needs to happen!
Update: 11/8/2019 ---- I'm still waiting for the next season.. this show deserves at least another season as it left things open that I found interesting. I miss the casual sport anime vibe and unique concept it uniquely possessed. I do appreciate Ahiru no Sora recently and couldn't believe you guys are capable of such great sport animes. Thanks

It Scratched the Itch I Didn't Know I Had.
This was almost the exact opposite of what you would find in MAJOR. It was great to not have Bonda always looking at the next impossible mountain to climb but instead dealing with day to day issues of being a professional. Don't get me wrong MAJOR is one of my all time favorites but this looks at baseball in a different way and was perfect at it! 11/10 would recommend to anybody who wants to ...

This Baseball Anime is NOT For Your Typical Fan
Anyone who is a baseball junkie knows that there is more too it in baseball then just hitting baseballs, pitching, and catching them on a big wide field. Baseball as a sport relies heavily on statistics, in which determines a players performance. With good stats comes with the possibility of getting a bigger role on a baseball team, and even possibly an increase in a players salary.

    And so we ...

  • Love this sports anime
Very entertaining, very well written plot and main character. This is a very creative sports anime that goes in another direction rather than the "we just started a new team in high school" or the "we joined a powerhouse- underdog team in high school"

    I usually hate Sports Anime...
I usually hate Sports Anime. No, seriously. I do. But this one is somehow different. I guess it's partially because it's set in the Pro's instead of high school, and partially because whoever's doing the writing has some real talent. The protagonist is an everyman that you can relate to, even though he's a Pro Athlete, and he's a great sympathetic character with at least somewhat believable quirks ...

  • Entertaining and Insightful for Japanese Baseball
This was an entertaining anime into baseball. I hope the producer adds more episodes to the series. It provides insight into Japanese baseball on rotation of players, pay, and deciding of contracts. The hiring of players by the owners for the season was interesting. I would like to see what happens to him with the waitress and to see if his salary increases. Can't wait until the Blu-ray is ...
