  • #185. Contender for 2018's best comedy.
One night, at his home, a strange object falls on the head of Nitta Yoshifumi, a member of the yakuza. Inside this box like object is a strange young girl named Hina. She so happens to have tremendous supernatural powers, Nitta ends up replying to all of her demands for fear of being demolished. Soon after though Hina grows on Nitta, and the two begin to share the weirdest and oddly one of the ...

  • All-Around Goodness.
Hinamatsuri focuses on Nitta - a relatively young Yakuza member whose life is turned upside down when a young girl named Hina mysteriously appears in his uptown apartment. Her incredible powers and general social ineptitude make for a rough start for the duo, but as the series progresses, both characters grow and change through their hilarious failures and satisfying victories.
    Hinamastsuri is ...

    The best, strangest story blend
Slice of life gangster show about parenting, with superpowers, child labor, homelessness, and ikura. The scenes hit like a kung fu combo sequence of comedic timing, practical life advice and issues, and heartstring-manipulating moments (engineered, I tell you!). Emphasis on slice of life -- if that's your bag, then watch this!

This series makes a light art form out of juxtaposition of the ...

Hinamatsuri - Psychic Schooling and Fish-Egg Drooling
Hinamatsuri was another departure from my average chosen anime. I am very pleased that I did choose to give it a chance. I must give credit to a certain reviewer, Mother's Basement, for introducing the show to me.

The show ends strongly, a solid 8/10 from me. This is due to this comedy anime having such strong character development that it could have been a drama. The slice of life take on a ...

    HINAMATSURI Is A Crazy Ride
Who would have thought a comedy about a Yakuza and girls transported from another world living in the city would mix perfectly. The characters are solid comedy gold and the inner monologuing combined with well animated facial expressions are perfection. The animation, the voice acting and the story from start to finish are so well done it is worth watching. I thought this was going to be old ...

  • The best anime in a long time
All the elements in this anime blend together to make this an amazing story. I love its originality, and each of the characters. Anzu is my favorite, but, Hina makes you love her as well. Every character adds something. I love the homeless men and their innate goodness in the face of such adversity. The story line and writing is as good as you will get in an anime. This is as good as ...
