  • Kinda Interesting, Kinda Boring
A slightly unique version of a Holmes character/story although kind of typical with all the standardised observations and deductive reasoning expected of anything related to Sherlock Holmes. The plot is kind of weak and slow but was just different enough to keep my interest piqued. Some of the characters were dull and annoying, some of them were really interesting though a bit "incomplete". One ...

  • Twist on Sherlock Holmes
This was not entirely what I expected. It was interesting on his background and his sharp eye and interest in valuables bully being an expert appraiser and his solving crime not his passion.

His very very awkward romance could use refinement and hopefully if a season 2 comes out that can be worked on.

Otherwise the show was enjoyable for what it was but nothing I would go out of my way to ...

  • A Show That's Both Quiet and Loud
This anime tells a simple love story that grows between two surprisingly complicated characters. Mature, "grown-up" issues are often in play, as well, as Aoi is steadily guided toward her own adulthood by Holmes's gentle mentoring. Throw in a legitimate villain who isn't too exaggerated, add some mildly violent/emotional confrontations, and mix it all together with the solving of mysteries and ...

    Unique Concept, Great Characters
Loved this anime. Really interesting and unique story that I haven't seen before. If you're looking for an anime that is solely romance, you will be disappointed; however, it was really easy to fall in love with the characters and the storyline. Very cute and interesting plot.

  • Really great romantic slice of life mystery anime
i know what your thinking how could all that be in a anime. Well first the romance is very little but it is there. It not cliche that god and it very realistic. The next is it is slice of life. While it does have a mystery of the week. They also talk about a little of their daily lives. It really cool to see different aspects of the characters. The storyline is really great and i can't wait until ...

  • Super cute and light
If you're looking for something fun and light with hints of true romance while ensuring that you aren't left wondering what either is feeling then look no further! I loved this series from start to finish! Its cute and catchy and draws you in from the start. I'd watch a hundred episodes of this and never get bored

  • It's okay, but lacks mystery
Holmes of Kyoto is a perfectly adequate series, it's easy to watch and overall a pleasant experience. However, it fails to live up to the detective genre that you would expect from the title. The cases in each episode often lack complexity and mystery and can be solved by the viewer a mile away.

  • Antique shopping in Kyoto
Super beautiful landscapes and buildings of Kyoto. I guess they are since I've never been. Clear cut episodes of heirloom related mysteries. Our heart broken heroine goes to the super-high end pawn shop, then ends up getting a part time job working for the bishounen protagonist. Begin the "Scooby Doo" like cycle of mystery-per-episode. A problem for me is the monk character, and Holmes-san NOT ...

    Kinda boring to be honest
I started off really liking this show. It had a lot going on, there was all kinds of cool Japanese nick-knacks, some history, Holmsian deductions, and some romantic tension. I was hooked and looking forward to some fun mystery stories with comedy, drama, and romance on the side.

I kinda got that, for a while. But this show started feeling like it was on tranquilizers after a while. I don't ...

    Great show, no ending
I fell in love with this show from episode one. It's simple and has a simple story-line, but it's cute and lighthearted. The characters are likable and fun to watch.

Really the only reason I did not give it a 5 was because the show literally did not have an ending. It's like the show cute off halfway through a season. Maybe they'll make another season? I doubt it, but who knows.
