  • #87. I keep forgetting it's technically an apocalypse anime.
Humanity Has Declined is a comedic adventure in a incredibly unique world deprived of people, now dominated by adorable fairies, who are incredibly mischievous.

Wacky adventures with zany comedy is this anime's strong suit, along with the very beautiful and bright art style makes me forget that this is a apocalypse anime in the first place. (A lot...)

  • This is not the show you expect or maybe you did
First off, let me say that I saw a clip on Crunchyroll's page on Facebook that showed this bread spewing out what appears to be blood (it was jam) and I was like Okay, this show looks interesting.

Sadly, I waited this long to watch the show cause it basically sat in my queue for maybe 1 1/2- 2 years before I started to watch it.

You don't know much about the character and her name (it gets ...

The ultimate definition of guilty pleasure
An interesting series with a unique main character. It's terribly bizarre yet wonderfully intriguing. The ultimate definition of guilty pleasure.
I mean, skinned chicken aiming to rule the world, a suicidal robotic bread, hair with a will to serve its master. Overall, a special show for those who are looking for a different type of anime.

  • Not the moe garbage you're used too.
What great show it has it all, social commentary about the futility of human existence, a smart endearing main character, bleeding bread, and whole lot of quirky dialogue. The animation is vibrant, not particularly detailed but it is well animated. Every episode is truly something different.

  • A beautiful and halarious look on a post-apocalyptic future
So this is my first review so forgive me if it isn't too good, but I hope it's helpful!
This series has an adorable, brightly colored animation style, tiny mischief causing fairies, great world building and memorable characters (despite the fact that none of them really have actual names) but the thing I loved most about this show was the comedy. The humor is dark, though-provoking, unexpected, ...

  • Not for all tastes, but I loved it!
Set in a Post Apocalyptic world, Humanity has Declined offers us a combination of dark humor, childish characters, absurdity, but also thought provoking situations. It is really hard to get the humor or the reflections of the anime, since at least for me, everything is very abstract, every single actions or situation is disguised under a childish comedy. But this is definitely not for children. ...

    Ten. out of. friggin. Ten
What can I say? From its cutesy art style and enigmatic but lovable characters, to the dark and strangely heartwarming bite sized stories, this show has captured my heart through and through.

It's been a very long time since an anime has left me with such a warm fuzzy feeling and a hunger for even more. Set in a rather unusual post apocalyptic setting, with a new humanity preparing to settle in ...

  • A Show About Fairies (and apparently humanities decline)
Most of this review is spoilers at least in a broad sense so read on and click those buttons at your risk Otherwise move along:

Animation is good, but somewhat dream like in quality. Sometimes it adds to the show and sometimes I (a man who hasn't even touched alcohol) feel like I really need to go to rehab for something illegal.

The storyline is disjointed, but clever and enjoyable. If you ...

  • The depth of simplicity
On the surface the story of Humanity has declined might seem a bit daunting if not nonsensical, but this is merely the natural outcome of it's plot. Humanity is in decline, and in our decline the fairies have begun to rise. Quite possibly due to the lack of EM waves as hinted, but more importantly whatever it is that you think of when I say "fairies" disregard it. These fairies are more like their ...

  • Wow. An EXTREMELY interesting show.
When I first started this show, like the first three episodes, I thought to myself "Wow, this is really humorous, but not like to make you laugh out loud, but the kind of humor that you recognize as humorous." That kind of thing persists throughout the show, that kind of subtle humor that you just appreciate as funny without laughing. But then you get to this "wait, what?" bit around the ...
