    KyoAni's love letter to anime
People say it's a "mystery" show, but the mysteries are just a vehicle for something grander and more complex. Director Takemoto's absolute masterpiece, a world standard for character development via skillful directing and lovingly laboured animation. Like it or not, if you don't watch this you're missing out.

Must-Watch for Slice of Life Fans
When I first watched this anime, I loved all the characters and the depth they were given. But after my initial watch, I started reading into analyses of each episode as well as whole arcs, and my mind was blown. There are so many details put into this show, including the audio and visual artwork. If you like slice of life anime, this is definitely a must-watch.

I will add, as a side note, that ...

    One of my favorites.
Just wanted to tell you all to watch this now that it is available on CR. It is a visual and narrative spectacle. I wouldn't exactly call it a sleeper hit, as it does have its own following, but the availability of Hyouka has been a fun ride. I hope all of you enjoy!

    A Finely Crafted Masterpiece
If you're one of those people that think, "Oh God, not another high school anime," please don't let that put you off. This is as rich and satisfying as anything out there.

The animation is gorgeous, but the overall narrative is what truly shines. A lot of big themes are packed into deceptively small packages, whether it's a side story or one of the main story arcs.

As with film noir, it's ...

    Sweet and Breathtaking
I enjoyed watching this anime so much, and I believe that you will enjoy it just as much as I did. The music is great (especially the first opening and the second ed) , the animations are clever, and the characters are all lovable. You will not regret watching this anime trust me it's amazing.

    A Really Good Anime!
I would highly suggest you give it a shot. Its really like 3.5/5 stars, but I tend to be conservative in my ratings. Great plot development and all the clues one needs to solve the mysteries are presented to the viewer. It gives one a chance to match wits with the protagonist Hotaro Oreki.

Very good anime, I liked it a lot
Hyouka is a fun group of small stories and mysteries. The four main characters are great, and I loved each one in their own way, as well as the side characters. I wish there was a better ending scene, but overall I enjoyed the anime and watching it was a fun journey.

Thank you for adding this CR
If I had read the light novel before watching the anime, I would have wondered how they would ever be able to make an interesting anime from it. The light novel is amazing on its own, but a majority of it is characters sitting and talking. Thank goodness I watched the anime first, since the way which everything is presented is fantastic. The characters are great, and Oreki happens to be one of my ...

Binge worthy anime for a Saturday
Love this anime. My only complaint is there isn't more of it. You grow so attached to the characters and it ends right when their story truly begins. The artwork is really beautiful and the storyline is something I haven't seen much of before. The main characters had both humor and vulnerability. But I am left with more questions than when I started... very appropriate for an anime that claims to ...

    High quality abounds
A low-energy largely unmotivated introvert finds himself in a school club with his extroverted friend, and a high energy classmate whose insatiable curiosity irresistibly motivates him to find answers to her questions. It's a bit simplistic to say it's a mystery show, but that's the general idea. However, there are some things that make this anime exceptional. First of all, the character's ...
