Good characters and fun to watch but very "soft" on adventure and romance.
This is a different anime from other "new life" stories (such as Re:Zero and Konosuba) such that the main character is always ahead of the situations, except with the many girls and women he meets. His "softness" or "blandness" is the only weak point in the entire series. The girls are strong and cute, but he is too ignorant and too courteous, giving one the urge to yell at him to react while ...

Trashy, mindless, full of tropes - but it works?
This is one of the dumbest, most unoriginal anime I've ever seen - it takes a recently overused premise of "being transported to another world" and pretty much uses it to replicate every predictable cliche of fantasy harem shows. It also adds a ridiculously overpowered, literally invulnerable protagonist that overcomes every challenge without breaking a sweat, eliminating any possibility of ...

    Im down for another season.
I binged the entire season. It wasn't the most 'epic' of series with plot twists, dark areas, or asking in the matter of philosophical concepts. Instead, it's a harem where connection meets the best of two worlds: the harem comes together, and the comedy is common-sense. -1 Star for not keeping certain aspects of the harem interesting. Everyone knows they can brainstorm better on it.

    You have ...

  • At least 4 stars for Harem fans
There are generally bad words that come to mind to describe this anime like 'generic', while it is generic I found it to be quite entertaining and straightforward for a harem anime.

  • A four star show that gets an extra star for being so surprisingly entertaining to watch
Alright, I can admit it, this show is not the height of depth or quality, (in fact it has extremely little depth), but it sure as heck is positive and fun. I would probably have given it 4 stars except that I enjoyed it enough to want to bump the rating averages a bit. The main protagonist is an insanely overpowered Gary Stu with a very stereotypical harem of cute girls, but here's the thing. Have ...

  • I don't understand the hate.
This anime seems to be getting a lot of hate. Sure its no Naruto or One Piece or even Dragon Ball, but you can't expect every single anime to be as great as those franchises. If you compare every anime to those you will never find an anime that you like. I just got caught up with Food Wars and I am really enjoying it. It has nothing to do with previous anime's that I have seen. So in conclusion ...

  • Good light hearted time
I love the mix of slice of life and fantasy action. The show became even better after reading the light novel series. Highly recommend reading the novels if you liked the anime. They expand upon Touya's crazy magical abilities as well as show a darker side to his personality that is almost nonexistent in the anime.

  • stereotype the anime
Managed to get to episode 11
Its not bad. Its not good either.
Remember to have your anime cliche bingo card close while watching.

The title explains the main story of the anime pretty well. It felt like this is a show a 12yo would dream up. There's no character development. No real conflict. Animation is pretty most of the time. Don't even remember any of the music from the show, so nothing ...

    Mary Sue of Mary Sues
I watched this one and was waiting for some kind of punch line because I felt that the writers had to know how bad this was. The main character is so OP that the entire series plays out as an unveiling of his wondrous powers rather than any actual story. It comes across as a random fanfiction pulled off the net and made into an anime and I was frankly astonished that a professional anime studio ...
