started out great, but has become boring.
i have been trying to get myself to stay with this anime, it was great at the 1st episode but after that it pretty much doesn't follow that anymore. you don't get the neat adventures, you dont get alot of interaction with the spirits and such. i get it's supposed to be about investigating things, but so far 6 episodes have been nothing but recapping. and it's really sad b.c it had such great ...

    could be much better....
so close to being a great anime good characters and setting but too many exposition dumps makes it a drag to keep up with.

If it had less explaining or better yet explained things better without taking up so much time every episode would be a great watch.

got me hooked... to disappoint in the long term
I was quite exited for this show in the first eps, in fact I really like the idea behind the main story.
The way it is told, now thats bad! Pacing is insanely important, even more when it comes to animated pictures.
Next thing is character development, if they drag things out then at least give us some likable characters and not those wooden dolls.
The sad thing about these characters is that ...

    In / Spectre equals Meh
Mostly boring and kind of just drunkenly shambling along. The main female protagonist is a mostly useless know it all, and the male is just a reluctant work horse with very little personality. The best thing to say about it is it isn't awful, it just doesn't stand out at all.

    Bad pacing or bad writing?
So, after sitting down to catch up with this anime... I find myself a little dissapointed.
The animation is brilliant and the story line is rather captivating, however this show has a HUGE problem with pacing. There are a lot of expositions which could have been shown in a better way... things that would have made really good episodes and character building moments have kind of been either washed ...

    1st episode thoughts.
The concept, and the potential of this storyline has me interested. I will definitely be coming back for more. And the young lady half of the duo is very interesting. Lots of intelligence and personality. (Fun.) The guy, on the other hand, has yet to show much spark. He's kind of flat. But as I said, I'll be back next week, and I have high hopes that he will develop into someone you can ...

    Great in the beggining
This anime was really interesting in the begining. But i immediately lost interest when they decided to make the Steel Lady ark last more than 3 episodes..it got really dull after that and there were alot of "why don't you just do this" moments. The art was nice though. Iwanagawa was super annoying though. Her constantly trying to get with someone who clearly wasn't interested just itched me the ...

Less of an anime than a podcast...
I want to say straight out of the gate that this is a very interesting story. But it's painfully held back by the manner in which they deliver the story.

They choose to make this an anime. Anime is a medium defined by visual story telling. The dialogue and music compliment the visuals. But for this show it's more like listening to a podcast than watching an anime. You could take a small ...

    Awkward despite its good looks
This is definitely easy on the eyes, and if the quality of the animation keeps up I could absolutely recommend this to people who just want to enjoy something that is nice to look at.

However, In/Spectre CANNOT WAIT to get started. The writing actually seems fine, and the premise is totally serviceable.

It's the pacing that is the issue, as the first episode very clumsily stumbles through ...

Slow but worth it in the long run
Like everyone is saying, yes the show is slow. It has an exciting hook and highlights its potential, then is pretty stagnant the rest of the show as most of the season takes place in only a few locations and a couple days, and it focuses on one antagonist. While this can be difficult to get past right at the start, I think that if you have the patience to see it through it is a very interesting ...
