Good news for all you fans of regional comedy out there: although the first season is concluding for Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki, a short form anime based on the 4-panel comedy manga by Masaki Andō about a Tokyo boy learning the charms of Nagoya from a local girl, the series will be coming back for a second season.
Additional details about the new season (such as the cast, staff, and release date) will be revealed at a later date. The first season of Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki is directed by Hisayoshi Hirasawa and features animation production by WORDS in STEREO. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:
After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won't open up to him at all.
