TV Anime Kono Healer, Mendokusai Teaser PV Announces Its 2022 Premiere, Two Main VAs

Nobuaki Nakanishi (MANGIRL!) serves as director at Jumondou

The official website for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Tannen ni Hakkou's comedy fantasy manga Kono Healer, Mendokusai (This Healer's a Handful) has posted a teaser visual and an 85-second teaser PV to announce its premiere in 2022.

The manga has been serialized on Nico Nico Seiga, ComicWalker, and KADOKAWA's Montly Comic Flapper since 2019. The latest fourth volume of its print edition is set to be released by KADOKAWA on October 22, 2021. The anime adaptation project was announced in April 2021.

The story centers on Karla, a dark elf girl with a dark nature who is quick to say what's on her mind, and Alvin, an armored man who has a high level of patience with people who agitate him. The two of them end up working together by chance. Aguri Onishi (Ayumu Uehara in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club), while Takuya Sato (Albert James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot) plays Alvin.

Onishi also sings the anime's OP theme. She says, "I'm so happy that I get to sing the opening song of the series in which I'll be playing the main character! When I heard it for the first time, my impression was that it was a very charming song that sounded like a theme song for a romantic comedy. However, the lyrics are inspired by Karla's gestures, and there are parts where Alvin and Karla talk to each other, so I thought the balance between the cute atmosphere and the crazy atmosphere was interesting. I had a lot of fun singing it, and I'm really looking forward to hearing it in the anime. I hope everyone will enjoy it along with the anime."
