CloverWorks Teams Up With JoJo's Director Naokatsu Tsuda for 'Tokyo Twenty Fourth Ward' Original TV Anime
The original TV anime series is set to start in January 2022
Aniplex revealed a brand new original TV anime series today set in the fictional 24th ward of the Tokyo Metropolitan area. Aptly titled Tokyo Twenty Fourth Ward, the original series is a collaboration between JoJo's Bizarre Adventure director Naokatsu Tsuda, STEINS;GATE visual novel writer Baio Shimokura, and anime studio CloverWorks and follows three childhood friends and they reunite after a mysterious event the year before. A teaser visual and trailer was released alongside the names of the lead cast and staff.
Naokatsu Tsuda (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) directs the original anime series based on the scripts by Baio Shimokura (STEINS;GATE visual novel). The pairing of Shuji Sogabe and Kanako Nono under the name FiFS drew the original character designs with Takahiro Kishida (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) adapting them for animation. Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works 2014) is composing the music. The animation will be produced at CloverWorks.

Junya Enoki (Pannacotta Fugo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Shuta Aoi
Yuma Uchida (Kyo Soma in Fruits Basket 2019) as Ran Akagi
Kaito Ishikawa (Sale in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Koki Suido
More details on the series will be announced during a special program on November 24 with the above voice actors. Tokyo Twenty Fourth Ward is scheduled to begin in January 2022.
