  • Could have been so much better. (sort of spoilers)
I don't know what maniac decided to write a psychotic playboy bunny necromancer and then NEVER give him any backstory or explanation whatsoever, but they are an evil genius. This is another one of those everybody kills each other just because anime, and frankly I'm not impressed. The characters are interesting but sorely underdeveloped, but really, we all just came for the bloodshed.

  • I should have seen it coming
Two stars because it is a good production, with distinctive character design.

Story wise there is nothing here, it's just a 10 episode stand up fight for no reason, and every back story is like the flavour text on a RPG weapon: a decoration the author has no further commitment to.

It takes them 6 episodes to reveal who the main character is, which frankly is just dishonest. Having made that ...

  • #133. JUNI TAISEN:ZODIAC SNORE
Juni Taisen: Zodiac War is a hot topic idea that was completely wasted of its full potential. In this battle royale (fight to the death) anime, twelve warriors representing the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac are to fight to the death, till only one is left within a single night. The winner is then granted one omnipotent wish to come true.

Like I said, this show’s idea at the time of it ...

  • Good fight, bad ending
The fight was great having talented ones, pacifists, a psycho, and so much more have a grueling battle in a place where there are no distracting people around. It's just that the ending let me down, making fools out of the characters who died for nothing. But, I'm still giving this a 5-star to raise it's average.
I'm also looking forward for a season 2, and I hope it will improve more.

  • It was somewhat interesting
I find that this anime series to be kinda interesting. Although the concept is not unique in any way because it is basically a free-for-all or battle royal. I think that this series was kinda clever with it's way with eliminating the characters (but if you know the Chinese Zodiac then it is not that big of a shocker). However, this series does follow a pattern of showing a character's backstory, ...

    It's more then it seems
    !SPOILERS!
When I started watching this show, I found it randomly on YouTube with the picture of the Rabbit on it. I didn't this that it would be, well this. I was immediately hooked because you introduce this character in the first episode and make us think, " Oh this must be the protagonist and we're probably go through the story of how she wins this battle." BUT NOPE, she gets killed at the ...

  • Battle Royal/Philosophical War.
I can certainly say that watching Juni Taisen, I wasn't expecting that great an evolution. To say the least I was impressed.

The story had its own quirkiness but wasn't bad at all. In my POV nearly all battles had interesting outcomes.
What I really liked about the show was it's unique approach to battles. Someone looking for an action battle series might argue that but as for me, the battles ...

  • Decent Idea, Poor Execution
This show does almost everything in it's power to make itself unlikable. The introduction to the idea is poor, you're given no attachment to any characters until 80% of the way through the show, and there is no such thing as character development beyond introduction except in the case of maybe two or three. The show redeems itself with actual near-interesting and developing story for the last ...

    Completely Wasted Potential
In an anime with so many interesting characters and ideas interacting, you would expect real character development, or maybe some philosophical discourse. Instead, the show provides you with an idea, a lifestyle, a background, a history, only to have it erased immediately. A pattern that I noticed very early was that the moment a character's circumstances are given to you by the show, the ...

  • Good and Disappointing at the Same Time
It just wasn't the same after the first episode. I was actually hoping we'd follow around the Boar, she seemed like a really interesting character. The series had sort of a set potential (idk how to explain it). There wasn't much thought for it, it was just... the way it is.
