Aesthetically pleasing, but really stale plot direction
The animation has almost no faults here. Pretty much movie quality (at least for episode 1)

The characters have very human, and inhumane I might add, natures and personalities from the get go.

The main problem I see this series will have is being unique in the genre it's delving into. A series like this, but with a much deeper plot, is the Fate Series.(especially Fate/Zero) The plot is ...

    SICKK from the beginning ..
As a fan of Fate/Zero I can see the simalarities but there are major differences as well. Just from watching the first episode I am already hooked ! This first episode was sick from beginning until the end ! The animation is amazing and I am excited to see how this zodiac war plays out.

    Absolute Rubbish Anime
If all you care about is animation quality and mindless violence, then perhaps this is for you. If you care about being able to empathize with the characters, a story, a shred of purpose or point, steer clear and don't waste your time. This is another kill-everybody-for-no-reason anime, or perhaps more to the point, graphic mindless violence looking for a purpose. It's a shame so many people are ...

    First Episode Temp Review
Right off the bat you can see that it's quite detailed, the animations are smooth and fluid whether people are talking casually or killdancing around trying to murder something.
The plot is simple in basis - Killing Game, free for all style in an abandoned city.
The participants aren't just the usual normals though, it animes it up by making them all based on the Zodiac (hence the name of the ...

It Started So Strong, and had such a Weak Ending...
I just had to edit this entire review because I finished the whole show and was quite disappointed. My first review praised this show because of how awesome the first episode was. The animation was great and already the gruesome Battle Royale-esque concept had me going. But as the show progressed the animation's budget was failing, the plot became obvious, and the ending was uninteresting.
    If ...

Juni Taisen -- If Fate/Stay night was written by Nisio Isin (Updated episode 3)
Juni Taisen at the surface level is a fairly interesting Shounen arena style anime in the vein of the popular Fate/Stay Night series. However, if you look a little closer at what is being presented here as well as how it is being presented, you start to see how Juni Taisen will diverge from the typical battle arena formula.

The first thing that really drew my attention towards this series ...

  • A promising premise for a Battle Royale show
The first episode revealed very little, but the glimpses we saw of the overall story line and the various characters certainly peaked my interest. It's another entry to the Battle Royale genre (everyone VS everyone, only one can survive) and while it's not certain which direction they will take yet (comedy? drama? romance?) I still believe this show will deliver for those looking for a more mature ...

    Very promising, more pls
Typically don't like many action anime anymore because a lot of the same ideas are just reused every season, however, Juni Taisen's first episode (as of which writing this, is the only one out) is extremely promising. The animation is great, and the story-telling is just as great, in my point of view. The character designs are very nice, as well - I'm especially fond of the Ox, the Boar, the ...

just finished episode 2, not knowing anything about source material or any lore, i am enjoying this anime. pretty violent, written pretty well, and the animation its self is solid. excited to see who will die next and im feeling pretty good about this. solid choice for this season.
