  • Set sail for some fun
This oddball show follows the adventures and troubles of a certain naval force's recruits, the story follows the antics and drama of their force of "mecha-girls". Recruits use a wide variety of weapons and abilities used in battle. Characters themselves literally represent historical ships, but are really cute as well! Each character has a very unique personality, a massive cast ensures that there ...

  • Action, Drama, Comedy and Angst
Love the series, especially from season 3 onwards. Even as early as season 1, there was the grief and drama inherent in losing a sister(-ship), yet also episodes full of light-hearted comedy and personal motivation.

Had to buy the DVDs, though, as Crunchyroll have yet again let me down. Too bad this useless site has dropped the ball AGAIN, and failed to acquire the licenses to stream the series ...

  • Adorable and heartfelt with beautiful animation--what more could you want?
I never played the game, but this show hooked me in with just two episodes. Writing my review after the first season aired (please, tell me a sequel is coming soon) I cannot find enough words to praise it the way it deserves. I waited with overwhelming anticipation every week for the next episode of this wonderful action/comedy/drama/slice-of-life. It's complex and fun and heartbreaking at turns. ...

  • KanColle = Amazing..
I've been watching this series on and off, but today I sat down and watched the whole series. Oh my gosh it got feely. The series is short and sweet, always kept me on the edge of my seat and made me laugh at the same time. Would recommend this.

  • Not everyone's animation. But for the RIGHT people that understand it.
Well let's get on to the review of this animation shall we?

    Let's begin.~

I really found a lot thing's in the animation to be meaningful and very great on the animation to the 4D animation that the character's are up in your face when it come's to battling or having bits of the animation work in the frame of your laptop to desktop. To me, that leave's a lot of hard work on the animation and ...

  • SHIPS + GIRLS = AWESOME
Just watch this show. A dash of history, a splash of action, and a bucket of cute girls makes for a wonderful and entertaining show. 10/10 would watch again. Now to gt a bit more in depth I watched this entire show well pausing to read wikipedia articles on the historical battles and praying that Fubuki Chan would survive the fight without sinking. Just drop whatever your doing and go watch this ...

  • A fun series for just the right people
This is a series that is based on an online game of the same name. Many of the characters (and voice actresses) from the games return to this anime. It follows Fubuki, a destroyer that joins the fleet and along the way makes some friends and faces fierce foes. It is a series that is not for everyone. It is a series I recommend to those that either fans of the game or for those are up for something ...

    KanColle - Sinking Ship
Kantai Collection - the popular browser game about Fleet Girls, girls who are supposed to possess the souls (and weaponry) of historical warships - has received an anime adaptation which has just completed its maiden voyage.

This maiden voyage focused on Light Destroyer Fubuki, a timid but earnest girl who just wants to be given the chance to fight. Never adept at the physical aspect of her ...

    Boats and Hoes the Anime
    Pros:
    - The series is enjoyable, I'll give it that. Definitely fun to watch, granted you can get past the entire idea that these girls are ships.
    - The characters surprisingly hold some depth given the limited number of episodes and large number of characters. Credit must be given for the attempt to flesh out each one, though some are hit or miss in terms of entertainment
    - The naval battles ...

  • better than I thought
Some of the poorer reviews claim its purely for fans of the game. Well guess what, i enjoyed it and not even a fan nor a player of the game. Not exactly being generous but simply that couple episodes made it really stand out. Though i do know about the game prior.

Ive heard that the game doesnt follow a real story, so the anime is independent from it. Concept is the same with tons of obvious ...
