Pretty cringey, but relatively harmless. Also, couldn't they have come up with a better name?!
    "We are periods!"
Okay, the first time I heard the title given to the 'defenders' for this bland fantasy world, I snorted coffee up my nose. Whenever the characters from then on talk about becoming a strong 'period', it didn't get any better. Do they not KNOW? Is it supposed to be a joke?!
Okay, let's take a deep breath and have a quick rundown.
Cute mascot character. Extremely young slightly ...

    High. quality. meta.
Meta shows are difficult to pull off without overdoing it. Last Period successfully manages to make fun of its source material while still making it seem like a game you would want to play. Highly recommend to anyone who has played gacha-based games or watched/read Higurashi.

    It's a weekly monthly?
Putting the bloody puns aside this anime has quite a bit lacking in the "plot" department. That being said there are a fair handful of positives to note; particularly once it's understood that not only is this based on a mobile game, but it seems to be aware of it's origins. Perhaps I'm over-reaching in my assessment, but consider re-watching the first episode from this perspective: These aren't ...

I think it's a reasonable game based meme Anime
I get why some people would hate it, we all have different taste here... but I think it's pretty good and funny so far.

Sad to see so much hate for it, but as I mentioned everyone does have their own taste I suppose...

(Also Choco is so adorable and my device is so about to be filled with Fanart of Her)

A parody on every gachagame out there
When I first watched it I thought this was just another lazy mobile game adaption but I still gave it a chance. And it was worth it. This anime is a parody on itself and the whole gacha game mobile industry. The amount of 4th wall breaks and references are insane. It doesnt take itself serious at all and manages to be funny because of that. The characters are quirky and hilarious especially the ...

    decent by the book fantasy
After watching all the episodes I really do not feel strongly about this anime at all.

The reason for this is that none of the characters really stand out or develop through the season. The story is pretty standard with the attempted twist really not delivering any impact to the show. The running gags were worth a chuckle, but that was about it.

That said, it avoids being ranked ...

    Mobage Fantasy Parody: Decent Start
    Based on first episode only.

"Journey to the end of despair" is a parody anime based on the Freemium mobile game 'Last Period.' I got a few laughs, though the translation attempt at some of the puns was more flat than the show. Don't expect a fantasy adventure, this is a fantasy comedy.

    Brace yourself, joke incoming
For those who do not understand humor, this anime is a parody to the game Last Period. Yes, a joke. And for those of you who knew, their references to periods in the first episode are meant to poke fun at the game title choice and not to go down a morbid storyline. They even use it in reference to grammar as well. So please relax, you'll actually chuckle at this show.

If you are not looking for ...

Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of this one
While watching the first episode, it feels like you're watching an episode halfway through the season. Even after the first episode, I had no feeling of who these characters are or the world that they live in. I've watched the 2nd episode and still feel just as lost.

The animation is cute, and I feel like there could be something there so I'll give the 3rd episode a watch, but if I still feel ...

It's boring. That's all I can say for it.
Nothing new here, more preadolescents Beating monsters with swords and magic. The kids aren't cute and they have no energy...they're boring. It's a raft full of overused anime memes. They sit around and talk like adults. They have large curls of hair on the top of their heads and small cutesie creatures on their shoulders. This is an awful steal from so many good anime, I can't name it. If you ...
