This anime is a really good one!!! It has 50 episodes but all 50 are amazing. The storyline is really good and there are a couple twists here and there so it is always very interesting. The only thing I was a little iffy on was the ending. It was too abrupt. It was a good last episode but I wanted there to maybe be a much better ending. The opening and ending songs weren't too bad. The Characters in this anime were the best. They had all kinds of characters. Evil, Humor, Angry, Happy-go-lucky, etc type characters. I also loved how this anime, being a martial arts anime, had all kinds of martial arts content. From Boxing/Kick Boxing to Muay Thai with Karate, Jujitsu, and Tae Kwon Do and much much more. I love the variety of fighting styles that the characters in this anime have. I also love all the personalities of each individual character plus I love how some of the characters change throughout the series. The animation is very basic. The artist uses a lot of solid colors and doesn't have a whole lot of detail but didn't affect the series at all. There is shading and some hatching to show injury and fatigue but thats about it. The humor in this anime is great because it constantly has comedy integrated throughout it even during serious and dramatic scenes. I love it how the protagonists and the antagonists can both show a little humor among one another.
This anime has twice as many episodes than many other series but I finished it in about one and a half months. I gave it 4 stars overall because it is a very good anime if you like comedy. You learn a lot about some martial arts too!!!
Kenichi wants nothing more to be a normal student and to learn some basic karate. Until one day he comes across a girl who looks like shes about to be attacked by street thugs. He decides its time to protect someone! Too bad he is weak and she ends up protecting him, lol. She takes him back to her place, where it turns out its a famous dojo with very strong masters. He becomes a student of the dojo without realizing that hes in for a harder fight then he ever imagined, just trying to survive the training. XD
As he trains he must fight to protect his honor against the thugs of his school and eventually come face to face with a past that he had long forgotten.
I highly recommend this anime for the way it makes it fun to watch and for the good fights.
I don't normally write reviews, but for this anime I have to! So to get the gist of the anime, it is 2 seasons long and a total of 50 episodes. They play in simple fashion, season 1 is from episode 0-25, while season 2 is from episode 25-50. Pretty straight forward. The Anime's story is where it shines, our main character is a Young Man named KenIchi, and he is very weak and helpless, but one day dreams to become one of the strongest fighters in the world. well one after noon he overslept for school and now is in a hurry, in a race against the clock. When suddenly he was struck down by a very famine lady he was racing passed. Now This lovely lady's name is Miu. Seeing how strong she is KenIchi asked her how she became so powerful, she just simply replied my Grandfather taught me. "Now I will not bore you with the details from here to where I pick up" Then KenIchi is training along said Miu's Grandfather and his 5 disciples, trying to get as strong as he possibly can, so maybe one day he can protect who he sees important in his life.
Now the anime ends a little short for me. They introduce 2 big new characters in the last 15 episodes, but they end the anime before these new characters could develop. Now I do know the reasoning for this I just think you should of chosen the other way. The anime was cancelled after the second season due to low ratings, but the manga, the plot this anime was based on continued, now if you are a hardcore KenIchi fan. You can pick up where the anime left off.
Well thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my quick review ^_^
